Moving to the next level means opportunity, growth, and maturity. All with the chance to play 4 more years of the game we love so much, football. It makes me proud to see these kids develope in a way that only football can prepare them. Then take what they have learned from coaches, family, and the community and apply it all at the next level. Not only do I commend the players and congraulate then on making the roster of a college, I commend all that influence the student athletes in a positive meaningful way. When we wish them well to the next level we are sending our representatives and should continue to support in our own particular ways. What do you think?

College football was fun, but it did take up a tremendous amount of time. I played for one year an decided to leave because I was getting one of the best scholarships on the team, but I didn't want to get that far in debt. I don't get any financial aide. It was almost $20,000 a year, an I was paying $10,000 out of pocket. It was a great thing and I'm glad I had the expierience.

The next level is really not about football. It's about continuing your education and getting prepared for a career. Preparing yourself for what you will do for the rest of your life. Football is secondary to that, its just a plus to continue to play the game of football while getting an education. VERY VERY few players go D1, which is the highest and most competitive level of college football. And after that how many are going to continue to play football or have a career in football for the rest of their lives? Not many.
But continuing to play football 4 more years is always great. And I always look forward to watching these players go play on saturdays.

Any kid that makes it to the next level, regardless of how "prestigious" the school is, is a great honor. The goal of many players who play sports is to go to the next level, but not everyone gets the oppertunity. Yes, it does help you get your education which is most important since only a select few play on Sunday's, but playing college sports is a dream come true for most. I know it was for me when I played my college ball, but it was short lived (2 1/2 years) to a severe knee injury.

The next level is a job and it is something that you have to want to do. If you arent willing to work hard out there and give it all you got everyday your not going to make it.
