Valley the heavy favorites??? They only beat Pikeville by 10, yea they are real big favorites... The 15th region is wideopen...

Maybe open a little, but definitely not wide open. There are maybe 4 teams with a chance to win region. To me that isn't wide open.

Have to be the favorites. Last week it was a two team show and now Paintsville loses to JC. Shelby Valley may not win big all the time, but they are winning the games they are supposed to.

I thought early on in this one Adams really came to play! Seemed to get good position all nite but didnt get the ball. Good win for the cats>

Horribly officiated game. Within the first quarter of the game, 3 Valley starters were on the bench and Kyle Goodson had once again hurt his shoulder. The refs let this get too physical and a fight even almost broke out. Did anyone happen to see the time when the Honaker twin grabbed the ball while Ashley had it and threw Ashley to the ground? These refs did a very poor job, the entire first half was called for Pikeville, it should have been a lot closer of a game then what it was.

All SV does is reach, slap, and push!!! They have done it all year, so quit your whining. The refs had nothing to do with the outcome of this game. Grow up!! Posts like this is why everyone hates Valley!

The funny thing about the refs, the home school calls the refs to come to the game. If you are going to complain about them, complain to your principal. The refs were not bad as the Shelby Valley people are saying. They are typical 15th region refs. They called what they seen.

I think the game was a good played game. Pikeville struggled in the 2nd shooting only 3 out of 11 for the quarter, that and free throws done Pikeville in. Congrats to the Wildcats on the W. You boys did what it took to get the win.

i agree...the thing about the way valley plays is that is the way u have to play at state...we are so undersized that is what gives us the advantage b/c up state they let u play something we are not use to...which is y we get thumped in the Lex tournies

SV is doing all the crying!! Read the other posts first! Pikeville did man up with them. Just like last year Pikeville is slowly catching Valley and Pikeville will once again cut the nets down in the 59th.

Well I promise you it wont be in the next 4 years,with Ashley, Taylor, Tyler and elisha all as freshman this year and still going to improve over the years,they might catch up to Valley in about 10 years!!

It wasn't the fouls Valley caused, it was the fouls that Pikeville made, But I Dont Care, Valley still came away with the W.

The fouls were 8 to 10. The refs did a great job. Davis and Wallen are two of the best in the 15th. Why do ppl always blame the refs?

Anyway, how did Pikeville shoot from the line, I thought they missed a lot of free throws.

Nonetheless, it will be an AWESOME district tourney..

Pikeville played some good defense. Honaker does get by with a little more than most, just smart play I guess. Hate to see Kyle out, he's a great asset to Valley. Go Valley now let's show up @ Belfry tomorrow nite and show the girls some support.

Pikeville is one big-time basket away from playing valley to the wire. the entire difference in the game was the 16-2 run valley made when pikeville was up 19-18. a bag three or a run out could have ended the run early and kept the game even throughout.
