Took a hard hit to the head from what I gather. Ambulance drove him off the field, hope to hear some good news soon! Young man has too much Heart to be down long! Dr. Akers The team physician for Pikeville left the game in the ambulance to take care of Daniels!

Prayers to D. Daniels. I hope he is ok. Initial reports I was hearing late last night are very concerning. Prayers up for him. I basically almost stopped caring about the game after seeing this happen. Pikeville has some things to work on,, Paintsville does as well. Very chippy game with a lot of penalties, it's still a long season. Prayers for a continued healthy run from here on out to both teams.

Pikeville is Sophomore heavy this season with 21 Soph. on the roster. A couple yrs. back they came a hair in beating CAL for the 8th gr. State championship. Only one Senior starter returned from last season as graduation took it's toll. Would be starting Jr. QB Wyatt Battaile is out for the regular season from surgery. As been previously mentioned, these Panthers are very young, but they will get better and better with the talent they possess. Next couple yrs. are expected to be very good for the Panthers once again. Friday was a bad loss, but they will learn from it, and nobody can accuse them of playing a cupcake schedule. They will be better for it.

Correction: Wyatt Battaile - Senior
