Final.
Swain with 193 rushing.
Cam Rose didn't even play after getting injured on second play of the game.
Wasn't really this close.

Bell was better last year at this time. Whitley completely dominated this game. What was scary they beat them at their game.

They are better than advertised not 1 dimensional at all

The Whitley coaching staff made some good adjustments at the half,Bell County didn't and the second half belonged to Whitley.

I was happy to see us go to the ground game.
I'm sure after the beating Whitleys line took against rock, they've practiced physical football the past two weeks.
I'm curious if this gameplan was the game plan going in or did Whitley adjust to this after Rose went down.

would have to disagree Rock Bell is better this year but give whitley credit they are a lot better as well

Bell had beat cupcakes so far. Don't really get why anyone thought this game would be remotely close.

Congratulations Colonels!!

Whitley County is on the rise. Saylor is a bowling ball .

I said this in the prediction thread
I am going to say Bell has maybe improved a TD... but Whitley may be a couple TD's better than last year.
Nonetheless... this should temper some of the Bell County hype. They still are not close to being back to the level they were a few years ago under Mills. It will probably happen.. just not this year.

Whitley won 20-6 last year and should be 2 TD's better this year.... let's see how the final score plays out so we can see if Bell has improved or remained essentially the same.

It will take awhile to rebuild. How long does Dudley have left?

He will stay as long as they keep paying him around 90K and that's not counting the job his wife doesn't have to go to.

The clock has struck midnight for the bobcats. I figured that as soon as they played a quality team Bell's true colors would show.

Everyone I talked to knew this was going to be a tough game. They have 20+ seniors and are good coming back. When Bell had the ball in good field position in the Red zone twice (once was negated by a penalty) not scoring was huge. Then Whitley broke one. Whitley dominated the 2nd half, which is what a veteran team should do. We are playing a lot of freshmen and sophomores. We gotta keep getting better. This is 1 of 2 really though, to say the least, very good teams on our schedule. We will learn from it and keep improving going forward.

The Whitley County freshman rushing for over a hundred yards is why they dominated the second half. The sophomore had some tough runs too.

He was very impressive, but he will be losing a lot of his pals next year. Whitley has their program going in the right direction. And so does Bell County.

Bell had 14 first downs and according to the radio was only 3-11 on third down conversions. They had 9 at the half. So only 5 in the second half. Whitley radio said they were running 3-4 Kids in and out on every play. Wow. I think they said Bell only had 199 yards in total offense. That in itself is offensive to Bell faithful.

Congrats Whitley. Does this mean Whitley will be getting Bell County's first place vote in the polls this week?

Not to mention only 3 of those seniors played defense tonight.

Whitleys defense will only get better.
Going to hurt losing the entire offensive line, QB, and Rose, but most people don't realize Whitley also has around 17 or 18 juniors as well.
Very experienced team. Makes it hard to believe what Rock did to them last week.

We will have to beat mighty Perry to get back in the mountain top 10. Theyre at 9 now

Whitley should definitely move up a few spots after beating a team that was biting at the bit to get a hold of them

Congratulations Whitley. If we are going to play so many both ways we had better get in better shape and stronger. We were pushed around in the second half. Our defense look mostly confused for 3 quarters. Never thought Whitley could just push us around. This will take some time for Coach, but he will get it done. Move on to the next game.

Whitley is getting the numbers where they need to be. Classes of 19 and 20 seniors is a have to to win at the 5A level. Having almost 40 upper classmen gives them the numbers to keep kids fresh and let them play in the right position.
