Covington Catholic 36 Highlands 0

If it would have been closer I wouldn’t say this. The first game was a fluke
#2
HHS got down 21 to 0 and just plain laid down and rolled over and quit
#3
Cov Cath made halftime adjustments and HHS could not stop it
#4
Congrats to Cov Cath.

And highlands made no adjustments

Embarrassing the way offense was run. Some of D players needed to play both ways. Need a new OC
#7
I agree on D players. There’s about 4 really good athletes on that defense

You can’t tell me Sisson and Hudellson don’t make that offense better.

To be honest cov cath wont even be challenged in the playoffs until south Warren in the title game and I'm not sure they can hang with cov cath.

Mueller said it’s hard to win state with kids going both ways. Well when they had the depth he had. Sometimes you get lucky. This isn’t so now. So now its a coaching decision to realize you can’t win one with kids not going both ways. Things don’t last forever. It’s not just coaching. It’s common sense

It is what it is. I’ve kinda been hinting at it for a while. Cov cath played a superbly bad game the first go round.

Impressive win! Congrats Colonels!

Gonna be a fun one at PC Field!

LOSERS QUIT WHEN THEY'RE TIRED, WINNERS QUIT WHEN THEY HAVE WON

I agree that Pulaski won't be much of an obstacle, but I expect South Warren to give them a good game. I think CovCath will win, but South Warren will keep it close.

I’m not sure playing Huddleston and whoever both ways would have made any impact. Just saying. Casey McGinnis and mike Mayer are that good. Also look out for Caleb Jacob. Kid is a sophomore. What?!?

Cov Cath put them away easily last year, what do they have this year that they didn’t have last year?

Disagree. The offense this year was pitiful. Put a few stud on that side of the ball and it helps out your defense who played well. You can’t have your defense play 3/4 of the game each time you play.

I love starting a soph. Bugs me that Highlands always wants to start senior at QB.

Cov cath will be a tough out. If they play their game....the sky is the limit.

How many points better would they have been?

It rarely works the sophomore season. It’s a statistical anomaly

Congrats to Cov. Cath, I feel sorry for your equipment manager.

Why’s that?

Ouch! years of frustration for CC being let out on Highlands

A field that is a complete mud hole. At least 2-3 inches thick.

? Cov cath has turf.

I misread post. Sorry. I was meaning Cov. Cath coming to play at Pulaski. Be ready to play in 2-3 inches of mud.

Oh. Gotcha. Sounds like good football conditions
#28
PC field is terrible. They should move the game. Hopefully it doesn’t rain again before Friday night.
#29
Nah. Let them play in the mud. Phenomenal football!
#30
This year was better. But it’s still 22 defeats in 4 years. And they can’t beat Cov Cath. It is what it is. If it’s not one coach it’s another or even 2 of them
