Christian Academy Louisville @ Somerset (2A Semi)

Cal Defense giving up 6 pts a game. Somerset Defense giving up 10.2 per game. Something has to give. Who Wins and Why ?

From all the talk on other threads CAL has already won... this game... CAL is on super level.. Somerset should probably just end there season now it’s a waste of time to even play. The score won’t be close at all... If this is the case then CAL should look forward to letting there JV get some practice.. Go ahead and end this thread... and start a CAL and Mayfield thread.. and whisper sweet nothings to each Other.. No Mayfield you’re the best... no CAL your the best... I personally think this game will be close...

Cal, BIG

I will be cheering for Somerset to win :Cheerlead .....................but

CAL 49
Somerset 07

Unfortunately CAL is hot right now. Repeat score from their game with desales.

Should never look past anyone at this stage. Championship game could be WV vs Somerset. So both favorites could be sitting home unless they take care of business.
#7
Jumpers managed to finish atop an unusually weak AA Region 4, but looks like this is the end of the bunny trail. The only team they've played even remotely comparable to CAL was Beechwood and that one was over way early.

Still a good year for the bunnies. Just an unlucky year for cross-bracketing.

CAL - 41
SHS - 12

I’ll take some of that.

Bunnies had a good season. It comes to an abrupt halt Friday.
#10
I will be in the crowd hoping for the best outcome possible for Somerset, I'm kind of thinking it will be a defensive battle with both teams knowing what's on the line here.
#11
CAL by 12.
#12
CAL's defense is very good. I don't see Somerset scoring more than 7 points in this game. I'll say a score of somewhere along the lines of 35-7.
#13
Looking at the numbers, Somerset’s opponents have a better win, loss record. CAL’s opponents have the better Lit ratings.
#14
Hoping CAL wins
#15
This will likely be the last time we see Peter Cotton Tale until Easter. I would be shocked if they beat CAL
#16
Go Jumpers!

Was the Beechwood game weather shortened?

Yes, game was stopped with 8 minutes left in the 2nd quarter.

Wow, did not realize that. I was giving them a little credit for hanging relatively close to Beechwood.

I’m going with the upset here and taking the Jumpers. That Jumper defense is tough and will definitely be put to the test with arguably the #1 player in the state coming to town but I think Somerset will pull out the W. Jumpers DB, Brock, is arguably the best athlete on the team WHILE playing all season with a torn ACL (having surgery after the season). This defense is TOUGH. This is my upset of the year.

Explain the 28 points Beechwood put on Somerset in 16 minutes of game time. On track to having a running clock on the in the second quarter of that game. Than there was 31 points allowed last week. Haven’t seen Somerset but these two games make the defense sound a little suspect

Looking forward to a mayfield vs cal finals.

Can't explain the Beechwood game as I wasn't there but the first 17 points last week came off a pick 6, a fumble returned inside the 10, and a punt return inside the 10. LCA held a 17-14 halftime lead with only about 30 yards of offense in the first half.

Somerset has had a great season but I think CAL ends it Friday night. Would like to see the Bunnies pull the upset but I just cant put a scenario together where they do except for just an straight up upset, which happens all the time. But I just dont see it.

CAL 42
Somerset 14

Centurions advance 28-0.

Somerset has had a nice season so far, but I think they will be out gunned in this one.
#30
This could be a defensive battle.
