Bracken Co. Job Open
#1
I'm devastated.

In news that will surely shake the coaching ranks across the state, Coach Brausch, the all time winningest Bracken County Coach (.650 Winning Percentage) With the only win in school playoff history. A two time OHIO State Champ, has stepped aside.

I have called him several times, with no response, and haven't heard. I am hearing that there is some dissension in the ranks. What could be happening to my precious Polar Bears?

My Short list for the next candidate:

Urban Meyer (He's available.)
Jason Hinson (Basketball on Grass!!)
Sam Elsbernd (Running a solid Middle School Program)
Adam Reed (Helped our pee-wee program for a time, and a tireless worker!)
Kevin McClanahan (A Bracken County Athletics Legend)
Kevin Siple (Could He Return??)
Andrew Coverdale (He just left T, think he wants a head coach Job?)
#3
Is he taking the LLoyd job?
#4
A few more:

Eli Florer (3rd best player in team history, behind GBaby and Tad Fisher)
Dave Buchana (Is he looking to come back to the area?)
Dudley Hilton (Why not make a big splash!?)

If Lloyd knows what they're doing he is! The office supply stores in Erlanger better get a good supply of dry erase markers if he's coming!!

Did Brausch leave on his own? Does he have another job lined up?

Is there a rumor otherwise? I mean— there’s no way an administration would ask a 2 time Ohio state champ with the schools only playoff win and a 15-8 record to leave??

A man who said recently “I’m not leaving Brooksville with out a ring” you don’t fire a man like Brausch!!

Just seems odd. Seemed like he liked brooksville.

Why would they ask him to resign?

Not saying they did. Just was wondering. Must have another job in mind.

A man with credentials like him can name the job he wants. I bet he’s on to bigger and better. I’m just thankful for the time he gave us in Brooksville

Anybody heard anything?

I am hearing there is a big time push to get current Holmes Bulldog Eli Florer back home in Polar Bear blue. Florer is from a legendary family of polar bear athletes, his dad and grandpa were both 1,000 scorers on the basketball team and he was an outstanding three sport athlete at the school from 2009-2013. He would be an outstanding young hire and could really be the long term answer. I could also see Bracken going with Coach Elsbernd and maybe bringing Florer back as a coach in waiting for a couple years until he is ready to take over. Either of those options would be good for us in the future. Florer would be able to bring the community together and build a very solid staff of former Polar Bear players

What does Coach Florer currently coach at Holmes?

What names do you think would return to the sideline??

Some great options still living in Brooksville could really build a state championship level staff!!

I’ve heard he has already been in contact with a couple if it works out. I would really like to see Jacob Tucker that played linebacker with Florer added to staff.

Those guys were a tough combination together and in high school and I would like to see them get it back together in the coaching ranks.

You could also look at possibly adding guys that have been around it like Coach Elsbernd if he isn’t pursuing the head job. Maybe some of the guys that got Tigers started would be interested in coming out and coaching because most of their kids have graduated now and they could still want to be involved.

Tucker. Jason Hall. Jacob Houston. Andy Rice. Maybe Nicholas Rice and Nick Parker?

This could be the best coaching staff in the state!!

That could be a good staff but have to hire the right coach first.

There’s no way they go anywhere other than Elsbernd with Eli in waiting (Co-Head Coaches!?) or just straight to a coach Florer.

Imagine if his dad and Coy Cummins join the staff!!?

Have to get the right coach first. I think Elsbernd is the way to go.

You’re all in on Elsbernd. What makes him the right choice you think??

Great guy and runs an intense middle school program. Kids would run through a brick wall for him! He knows what he’s doing.

That’s a bold statement right there.

When the head honcho has a hunch you can take it to the BANK!
#25
With Sam Elsbernd accepting the Pendleton County boys basketball job, where does Bracken go from here?
#26
There must be a problem with the phones in Brooksville this week. The Head Honcho heard a vicious rumor about our Girls Coach (and head MS Football Coach) leaving us for the PC Wildcats... and I called and called and he never returned any of my messages.

Turns out, that stinking rumor was true. And now, the Head Honcho's top choice to replace Dave Brausch has moved on to greener pastures. When you coach at Bracken, there's always people coming after you, because of the success we have!!

So that means it's time to focus all of my energy on one thing: Getting Eli Florer home to build my dream staff.

Coach Florer calling the Defense. Bring in a great OC. And surround these boys with the decade + of talent Brooksville has produced to keep up our winning ways.

COOACH FLORER----- Come Home!!
#27
We’re almost a week in to the search. I have heard some major names thrown around. Some big gets. When you have a culture like ours, the applications come flooding in. I bet that our AD can just wait for the perfect name to drop.

I know that name. It starts with an E, and ends with— li Florer.

Brooksvilles finest is the best coach. If he can get his dad, an all time BC star, and some of the other Brooksville legends from the 80’s and 90’s the Polar Bears could be a FORCE.

The only thing better than coach Florer on the sideline, would be Coach florer on the sideline, and JTuck up in the press box!!
