Saw Bardstown last week. Smallish up front offensively and defensively. A lot of speed....I mean a lot of speed. LBâs like to fly to the ball. Not real disciplined in their defensive approach....at least not in that scrimmage. Strong teams will hurt them between the tackles......
IMO...Pikeville should handle them

Bardstown, being a 3-A school with that much speed is something to take notice of. Still, Pikeville has enough gamers on this team to take the win, jmho. Add to that, it will be played at the friendly confines of Hambley, then Pikeville should put a W up for the win.

Pikeville can match Bardstown's speed but Bardstown can't match Pikeville's muscle.

I seen them, too. They do get to the ball quick and they do have speed like OutlawJoseyWales said. They have or at least what I seen some real fast backs and one that runs with some power. Their passing game was alittle suspect to me. Watched a lot of their films on last years games which this is basically the same team. On the kickoffs they would run a reverse when they receive every kickoff I watched. Something you donât see every day so you know they are going to fake it some times. They definitely have some talent but as always GO PANTHERS!!!

You mean to tell me that a class 3-A football team who only lost two to graduation, and returns all but those two are not very good ? Come on man, you can do better than that. I've always respected your posts for years, but not this. :please:

Bardstown isn't very good. They lost several underclassmen to the local catholic school that was supposed to have major playing time. Also the Tigers lost a few coaches this off season. David does a good job, but they will struggle this season. Look for the tigers to win 5-6 games this year. Playing Pikeville and Danville back to back is going to be difficult.

However, they are ranked just outside the top 10 in 3-A at #11. How long they stay there will be interesting to see.

Is the game really at 6:00 and if so is there a reason why?

Thatâs what the schedule says and the only reason I can think of is because of the long trip fo Bardstown. Personally I thought it would be better to play later because of the heat on these young men. So guys keep hydrated it looks like itâs going to be hot that day according to the weather report right now but that could change. But as always GO PANTHERS!!!

Bardstown fans:
Texas Roadhouse is great.
But please, you may never be back in Pikeville. Try a local restaurant like the Blue Raven, Chiricoâs, Bank 253, El Azul Grande (now at the top of the Landmark Inn), etc... Donât waste a once in a lifetime trip on a chain! (My shop local plug of the week). B Dubs would be a great post game option. I would suggest arriving in Pikeville around 2 and walking through Downtown and visiting some local shops as well. Enough to do to eat up 4 hours.

Main street in Pikeville is very similar to N3rd in Bardstown. Lots of restaurants comparable to Pats, Mammys, cafe primo, hursts, etc...

Exactly what I was thinking didnât really think of the travel but thought if it was anytime other than 7:00 or 7:30 it might be pushed back to 8:00 because of the heat.

Spot on, also tune in to 98.1 in Pikeville and PHS football on twitter because no way this game starts at 6.

No chance. Be way too hot that fans wonât even be able to sit in the stands.
Sounds like PT needs to suggest a hotel for the Bardstown folks

Agree. If good hotdogs and drive in food is what you want, try Dorsie's Restaurant on the bypass road, or Dairy Cheer on the South end of town. Both places have great food and service. If your in the mood for Asian, check out Peking Chinese Restaurant on the N. Mayo trail as you enter Pikeville ( us 23s.) Huge selection, all you can eat, clean, and reasonably priced. Also Hibachi Grille, next to Peking. (may need reservations, but worth the effort)

One thing about Pikeville, if you leave here hungry. Itâs your own fault! 😜
