Final from Josh Francis Field
Blackcats dominate on homecoming night. Led 41-0 at the half, running clock second half.
Hoping the Cats can carry some confidence into next week and possibly pull the upset over Valley.

A bigger scoring margin than I expected, but Iâm absolutely glad. PBurg actually came out looking for contact instead of shying away from it.
East Ridge had some decent athletes in #3 and #40, but their OL play was underwhelming to say the least. Theyâve got the size it appears, but they just couldnât handle the speed of the young Blackcats DL.
#64 Watson and #38 Stephens shed their blocks seemingly immediately and set the LOS during this one, while #26 Maguire had a very good game at Safety for the Blackcats.
On Offense, #44 Akers carried the ball extremely well and showed patience waiting on the hole to open up and showed some burst through the hole as well. Hats off to the whole OL tonight for being more physical tonight than they have been, I really help their efforts are applauded and that they grow off of this.
I thought the QB #10 Slone played a very solid game all around, and that all the skill guys (#21 Rose, #27 Kelly, #6 Greene, #11 Jarvis, #86 Blair, #7 Barnes) played solid games tonight as well.
Blackcats, letâs get ready for a big district game at Valley this week and try to pull off an upset.
Warriors, continue to grow and get better. Good luck the rest of the season!

Sorely needed win

Nice win for the Blackcats. Dominating a team that you should dominate is a sign of maturation for these young guys. Another step taken for Brewer and his crew. The next step: beating somebody that you shouldn't beat. Shelby Valley? Possibly.

Very good post. I was worried before the game, that we wouldnât show our improvement and then we do that. No matter the opponent, winning by that much will DEFINITELY boost the confidence of our young team.

I knew I forgot someone. #4 Armstrong played a great game on both sides of the ball, scoring a rushing TD off of a jet-sweep in this one. It's been fun watching him progress with each game this season!
