Somerset survives the loss of leading rusher Alex Miller and 15 penalties for 139 yards to survive on the road.
Somerset will have to dig deep to overcome the loss of Miller going forward. Prayers for him for a complete recovery.

Hate to hear that about any player. Prayers for him and his recovery. Sounds like a good game and a good win for the jumpers. Hazard tough to beat at home for many reasons but it is what it is.

Prayers for the young man. Hazard played them tougher than I imagined.

Congratulations to Somerset and like most posters have already said prayers for the young man who got hurt. Hazard is a pretty good team and I thought it would be a tuff game.

Prayers to the injured player. Hopefully he makes a full recovery and can play in the post season. I hate hearing any kid is injured.

The actual final penalty yardage was 210 against Somerset and 25 against Hazard. The Somerset defense was backed up much of the night but held the Bulldogs to less than 80 yards net rushing. Very tough game.

I didn't get to go due to a chemotherapy treatment on Wednesday so I just listened to it. May have all been legit. I was just pointing out that the Jumpers had a lot to overcome.

That's a very lopsided penalty total yardage. Not saying it wasn't legit, but that's alot. Congrats to Somerset for battling through and getting the win. Also, prayers from me for this young man as well. Dont know what happened but I hope he can have a quick recovery.
And may God bless you as well Walt Longmire. May the good Lord bless you with a full recovery with what your going through my friend.

Thank you. I'll be okay, it's just a treatment I have to have every 6 months. It gets me grounded by my wife for a couple of weeks. I'm much more concerned about Alex and hope for a complete recovery.

Great game to watch. Hazard had the momentum after going down and taking the lead 9-7. They then forced a 3 and out and then hazard muffed the punt giving back to them.
Sherron is worth the price of admission. Great young man, talked to him after the game. The kid runs the Somerset offense very well. He is also the reason why I think ( my opinion) why Somerset won this game.
Prayers for Alex Miller
Congrats to Somerset on the win, and Congrats to Hazard for playing tough and leaving it our there on the field.

Don't want to sound rude or like I'm being nosey, but what happened to Miller? Is it season ending? I sure hope not. And you don't have to answer that if you don't want. As a fan, I just wanted to know.

I canât imagine any game where one team had over 200 yards in penalties being a âgreat gameâ to watch.
Congrats to Somerset for overcoming the refs obviously, and losing their RB.

Somersets first offensive series, 3rd play from scrimmage he jumped over a trying to make a tackle and i believe maybe a broke ankle or leg. Heard they flew him out to UK.

All were earned. Mostly face mask penalties and holding. Only 3 calls I seen where missed threw my eyes. Hazard got away with a hold twice. The touchdown before half for Somerset was on the ground. I was lined right up the end zone on the play.
Hazard had more than 25 yards in penalties too.

I donât think it was a case of Somerset got screwed, but the officiating left a lot to be desired. Game had no flow whatsoever. But a fun one nonetheless. Two pretty good, physical teams.

All were not earned. Not going to say that Somerset didn't have their fair share of mistakes, but my goodness it was ugly. The officiating crew had to delay the game several times because they couldn't figure out where to correctly spot the ball. Also if you were directly in the endzone then other than that pass, you couldn't see most of the penalties to know if they were legit or not. I'm not going to argue, but let's just leave it at we agree to disagree.
Hazard is a tough and physical team. Will be trouble for anyone come playoffs.

I only remember one delay and that was on holding call on pass play. They did seem lost on it. But they did spot it correctly after the delay.
I move with ball during games. I donât stand in 1 spot. Most people watch from the bleachers, I watch/walk with the offenses.
Both teams are physical. Hard hitting all night. Both teams need to try to hold on to the ball. Seen way to many fumbles both ways tonight.

So if you were with the ball then you were about 35 yards from the play in the back of the end zone to end the 1st half, right?

The penalty yards arenât the story. The loss of Alex Miller is/was and will be tough going forward - the kid was their best player offensively. They have a lot of guys but this kid was special.

When they elected to not kick a field goal with .4 left before halftime I went to the side of the end zone on the side where the bleachers are. The ref who called that a touchdown came from the other side of the field to make the call. You may of seen me. Had a blue UK shirt on. Walked up n down the sideline on that side all night.
Now donât get me wrong Iâm not trying to discredit nobody or start arguments. Iâm stating what I seen with my own eyes. I also wanna credit the quarterback for throwing back across his body to find they open receiver.

And this is why itâs very difficult to win in Hazard. Seems like EVERY tough game they play penalties are lopsided.

Hazard had more than just 25 yards in penalties. Iâm going to guess around 75-80 maybe more.
