Yeah, Corbin was only 15 holding penalties away from scoring about 2-3 more touchdowns lol, defense looked good too.

My god I understand calling it a tight game, and that we were a bigger upfront probably making them quicker. BUT MY LORD. Every other play! Holding! Haha.

On a more serious note, every second half drive was contained by holding calls, a missed fumble that would have given a 1st and 10 for Corbin at the goal line that was called a incomplete pass, it wasnât close in my opinion but that was the call, other than that Corbin looks much improved and getting better, score easily could and should have been in the 40s for Corbin. The defense was really strong all night even without our big defensive end number 25 as well, offense fumbled in Lafayetteâs red zone and defense held all 4 downs, big time stops. Our defense looked nice giving up one big pass play Lafayette has a defensive player that deserves all the credit for being elite, he wears number 99, one of the best I have watched play the game at the high school level. Overall good win and canât wait to see the Knox matchup.

#99 is one of the best players at his position Iâve seen play. Good luck to that young man. He is Legit. Great footwork, used his hands, great speed, very strong. Iâm not sure, but the majority of the holding calls had to be due to him.

But deservingly so, he is the real deal

Looking at high school stats: Lafayette is ranked the 3rd worse offensive team in 6A and the 5th worse defensive team in 6A. Good win, but shouldâve won.

A stat sometimes doesnât tell the real story, from what I saw, Lafayette plays some top rated teams you think, Johnson Central, Fredrick Douglas and Corbin and Scott County, now the way I see it, let Middlesboro, Knox Central, Harlan, Whitley, North Laurel, Etc, a lot of teams play the same schedule that Lafayette has played and yeah, there stats will look like there is none, sorta like Clay County having a heck of a year but when they played Johnson Central, there stats shot to zero real quick, on the other hand, let Lafayette play some of the schedules I see some playing and they very well could be better stats and records. There no joke of a team either, they played hard. Iâll take the win anytime, I saw game film where Lafayetteâs big 99 was also tearing up the Fredrick Douglas big recruits but yet the stats donât show it. Film donât lie either.
