Kentucky Country Day @ Berea 10/11
#1
Thoughts and Predictions :Cheerlead

Berea 6-0
Kentucky Country Day 6-0

Both teams are undefeated :truestory:

Berea comes in with confidence this program has probably never had before and for a little while competes, but I’d say KCD wins going away!!! All of central Kentucky is pulling for Berea and I hope for a good showing!
KCD 56
Berea 18

Epic battle between two undefeated programs. KCD by 2 TDs with Berea making the defense of the home field in valiant but vain manner.

Win or lose, you have to be happy to see the success of Berea after many years of frustration. There have been bigger upsets in the history of high school football. Berea has a chance.

This is a true Class A battle. KCD has 29 players on their roster and Berea has 32 on their’s. It’s unlike Class A in North Eastern and South Eastern Kentucky where the best teams have 4A type roster numbers and bring more kids in every year than a college program. Nice try to belittle this game PHS, your above post stinks with sarcasm, which is typical behavior from your fan base.

Lol. An Ashland Tomcat fan criticizing another school for being arrogant. Oh the irony! I was actually picking on 64Sur hyping it as more than it is. I’m tickled to death for Berea having a great year and honestly hope they beat KCD. They deserve to have a huge season. Bye now. Head on over to Putnam and practice your excuses for when y’all get your rear ends handed to you by Russell.

KCD has a good team and sadly i think they will pull away by a couple TD’s in the end, but at the same time as someone reminded me the other day, KCD hasn’t really played anyone so we just don’t know how this game will go. Their offense is a little weird and nothing like Berea has seen or will see again. One thing for sure, Coach Thacker and coach Stepp will have Berea ready to compete. It’s two small schools going at it with everything they have and the winner of this game should win district. Should be a great game.

Highly unlikely that Russell will send the Tomcats home with a loss but keep wishing for that if it makes you feel better.

I could care less who wins the game, just my opinion Russell will. Leon Hart ain’t walking through that door anytime soon. Love how you’re making the Pikeville fan base out to be the arrogant ones all of a sudden. Ashland invented the word arrogant. Haven’t been relevant since Leon left. Ooh. I think I hear “Glory Days” playing over at Putnam. Better hustle over there for your harmony part.

I know nothing about KCD, so it’s hard to make a prediction. Berea has some athletes. As long as the Oline does their job, the Pirates can put up some points. I’m not gonna pick against my nephew and the Pirates in this one.

PHS your wasting your time with him. That’s all he does is troll threads and yack. Especially Pikeville and Belfry, he can’t stand the success they have had the last 20 years and Ashland couldn’t get out of the district because Johnson Central laid a whooping on them.

I would like to see Berea win this one but I really don’t know anything about either of them.

Yeah it’s like i said, someone on here reminded me they haven’t played anyone so after looking they really haven’t. I think it will be a close one, even i was guilty to think they wouldn’t win, but after looking around, they will have a chance if they come out and play ball. Have to have a good start and limit turnovers.

Agree about the good start and limiting the turnovers. You’ve seen them play more than I have. I got to see the Caverna game in person and watched others on Hudl. IMO, Berea has a two headed monster in the backfield, a “Thunder & Lightning” if you will at RB, who can both catch the ball as well. Add in the QB who can throw and run, with a tall speedy WR. Like I said earlier, if the Oline does their jobs, the Pirates can put up some points. The defense just needs to eliminate the mental mistakes that I’ve noticed a few of the games and better tackling. Mental mistakes like blown coverages (Caverna game mostly) and penalties.

I love that Berea is having this much over due success, but I do believe KCD wins this game. Nothing against KCD, but I hope I'm wrong.

Just repeating what I have been told on the home front...

KCD has a big, not athletic, front line and passes the ball less than a Belfry team in the 90s. Athletically, Berea probably has the advantage. KCD's running backs appear to avoid contact a lot. If Berea makes this a physical, slobber knocker type of game and uses their athletes to keep KCD's defense honest, I'll take my Pirates by a touchdown.

Good Luck to the Pirates
