Congratulations Redhounds. Corbin just wore Knox Central down as the game went on. The onside kick after going up one score, was perfect execution and perfect timing by Haddix and his kicker and with the momentum sealed the deal for Corbin

I get half the credit for making him charge his phone!! Haha
If I canât make a game, I almost like reading his updates more than the radio. He creates anticipation, and sometimes anxiety, when his phone dies! Haha

I would first like to say congrats to Knox central! They played a heck of a game tonight. They looked almost totally different than they did the first time around. You could tell they improved from jisr weeks ago. They just didnât have enough tonight to hold the hounds offense back.
The hounds tonight, I thought played with a spark Iâve not seen for many many games. Kids were flying around, giving it their all, and looked to be having fun. The defense did give up some points, but also created turnovers are crucial moments! And in the end, held when they needed too.
The offense didnât have that same stagnant look theyâve had the past few weeks. Special teams looked pretty good, but could improve in some areas. We have to get that XP down before next week, itâs already cost us at least one game. But it happens. We have a young, talented kicker who is just a frosh. And Iâm not blaming it on him, there are several things that go into kicking an XP. All in all, I was very happy with what I saw on the field tonight. It was so freaking cold! The wind was awful where I was tonight, so thanks to SUR for another game of updates!!

Big shout out to the Hounds DEFENSE. We only gave up 14 points tonight to a red hot Knox Central team. The other score was on a fumble recovery ran to the house for a score, mama says sometimes thatâs the way the ball bounces. Anytime you hold a team to zero points in a half, your doing something right. Very proud of Longmire tonight, running like a cheetah, I love wine at tight end, he is a handful. Big shout out to Reynolds in the middle, glad to see Shelton back. I always say DEFENSE wins championships!!!!!!! We got a good one. Congratulations Hounds!!! Offense is catching fire as well!

I hope Longmire is okay. He was phenomenal tonight and showed why he is lauded as one of the states best. He ran very hard and played to his full potential. He had to have close to 250 and I think 4 tds.

That offense didnât even look like the same team we had a month ago. Longmire was all over the place, flat out ballin!!!! They looked like they had a swag to them that almost reminded me of last years boys. They had a confidence/cockiness to them that made them so fun to watch. Tonight resembled that attitude a little. It looked like a âIâm gonna run all over you, pass all over you, and make you like itâ type attitude and I loved it

I try to catch the last little bit of practice everyday. I said it in a previous thread, Longmire has practiced the best he ever has the past two weeks. It has proven to pay big time on Friday. If we can get a few others to pick it up the way he has we are dangerous, if not we are good. We canât use the excuse we are young anymore cause they have ten games under there belt. Defense needs to clean up form tackling, we canât be reaching against good backs. This week Huff was good practice for next week against Sloan. I still say we havenât seen our best effort on defense until we use longmire and Steeley at corner bumping receivers off the line to give the d line that half a second they need. On offense we need Burns at 100 percent Friday, he is a major player on the o line and makes them work as a complete unit.
