#1
Clay goes down to defeat for the fourth time in five games. The four losses have come by an average of 20 points. The lone win--- a 1-0 forfeit win over Redbird.  Barbourville sweeps the season series over Clay. When was the last time that happened?   The Tigers from Knox County beat the Tigers from Clay by 9 points early in the season in Manchester .  Barbourville, now 15-8  on the season,  has won four straight and six of seven. They will host Corbin on Friday.

This game got heated and ugly. Not sure what the fall out will be for these two in the upcoming games.

Heard from a couple of sources there were some things during the game and afterwards with fans. One even said it was Clay fans into it with each other. Any insights?

I don't doubt that. When your only win in two weeks was a 1-0 win over Redbird, fans are apt to get a bit testy.

Clay should be at the top of the region next year. Winning cures everything.

11-13 Clay County remaining games.

Lynn Camp 5-19
Lexington Catholic 20-3
Middlesboro 6-19
Knox Central 4-21
Morgan County 17-6

I see 3 and maybe 4 wins………for a winning season

I'd worry about being in the top of my district before saying top of the Region. Jackson only loses a couple of kids that contribute and North will still be pretty dang good if Chadwell stays.

Morgan Co game will be the deciding factor on if it's a winning season or not. game is at Clay so that helps. They should beat Knox, Mboro, and LC fairly easily.  I also believe it's Covington Catholic instead of Lexington Catholic, but I don't think they can pull that one off, but it is a good game for them to just play some good competition.
