Breathitt County at Belfry 8/23
#1
Breathitt County vs Belfry 8/23. Thoughts?
#2
Belfry will take this one again. Pirates first 5 games are tough. I believe Breathitt is the weakest of the 5 though. If Belfry over looks them and thinks they are just going to give up easy then things could go bad for pirates. Belfry wins by at least 2 TD
#3
It sounds like Belfry has a solid team this year. I'll take the Pirates at home.
#4
Belfry is going to beat Breathitt as bad as they want to. 49-6 Pirates
#5
Blowout. Hope the freshmen QB stays healthy is this game.
#6
I think Breathitt can keep it close for awhile but I see belfry pulling away in 2nd half. Breathitt is very young.
#7
Belfry in a blowout
#8
Belfry going to be much better than people think.

Belfry with a running clock.
#9
First five being tough? I think 4 out of the 5 will be challenging and I think the game with Lawrence County in Louisa will be a dandy.
#10
I am taking the Pirates in this one
#11
Belfry will roll.

Dude….you need to step off the ledge    The poster wasn’t trying to disrespect Lawrence Co.   Geez.   You’re wearing your “Lawrence Co doesn’t get any respect” collar way too tight.   Chill out….relax.     Cool

Belfry should take care of business against Breathitt.

Pirates pick the score

Interested to see what the belfry JV can do since they will probably get just as many minutes as the varsity. Injury free both sides i hope.

54-6 Belfry

Word is O-Line has looked strong.   Hearing the D-Line has looked good as well.  However…..depth is a concern on both sides of the ball.  Hoping to see improved angles, tackling and overall better defensive play.    If Belfry can stay away from the injury bug….there could be something special brewing.  But….it seems like injuries are always an issue with the Pirates.

Good. They got 3 guys that I know of on 300 bench right now.
Max Dotson ( senior ) - 405
Bo wolford ( junior ) - 350
Colton Whitt ( junior ) - 330

They all squat 500+ too

I don't think Breathitt has the horses to be able to compete with Belfry for four quarters. With a lot of underclassmen expected to carry the load offensively, I look for Belfry to take advantage of this, early and often. Breathitt will be a completely different team in week ten, but with this being week one, I look for Belfry to win comfortably. I think the Bobcats can compete, but there will be some growing pains in this game. I hope I am wrong but I see Belfry winning this game 45-14. Good luck Bobcats!

Either way! Breathitt IS playing a tougher schedule; so, kudos for that.

A lot of parents from Breathitt Co has daddy googles on.
#28
I haven’t read anyone on here; picking Breathitt to win this game. I have no idea what happens at Breathitt, now- OR who is wearing “daddy goggles”. Enlighten us…..exactly who is playing at Breathitt that does not deserve to because their “daddy” is coaching?
#29
I was at there scrimmage the other night. 5 parents standing on sideline with two on the field trying to coach. Parents let the coaches coach the kids.
