Magoffin County with a big win over Perry Central @ Stonecrest to advance to the 2A semifinals. Freshman Michael Trusty went the distance and only allowed 1 hit with 2 outs in the 6th inning.

Wow I am really surprised by this score. Magoffin had one win on the season prior to this as they were 1-9. Perry had run ruled them earlier in the season 17-5. It looks like Magoffin has a couple of really good freshmen in Trusty and Risner to build around for the next several years.

Magoffin started 4 freshmen(would be an 8th grader starting but he is out for the year with a knee injury) and have 2 other freshmen that get quality playing time. As long as Trusty is on the mound they can compete almost every game.
