Former East Ridge Coach, Randy McCoy, has passed away

Most recently since retiring from East Ridge, Coach McCoy was coaching in Florida. He has had stints at Morehead State, Pikeville College, Elkhorn City, University Heights, and East Ridge.

Definitely hated to hear this news, knew he had been sick for a little while, did read that he did win a district championship this past season at the school he was coaching in Florida. Had some great teams here in the mountains in his time as coach and had some great teams out west at University Heights, with Scotty Hopson & Tyshwan Edmondson.

One of the greats to do it, the game lost a legend, RIP Randy McCoy.
