Fact check: Trump lies about the price of eggs, groceries and gas

Trump claims that the price of eggs has dropped 93-94% since he has been in office.  This means that eggs now cost 38 cents per dozen on average.  Someone please tell me where I can buy these at?  Also, I just paid $2.59 for gas today, which is not bad, but why claim that it is below $2.00 per gallon when the national average is $3.17  He also claimed that grocery prices were down when in fact they were up in March .49% from Feb, which is the biggest month to month jump since October 2022   Average grocery prices in March were also up about 2.41% from the previous March, the biggest year-over-year jump since August 2023.

Why does he have to lie about such things?  I guess it's because he knows that his followers will believe whatever he says, despite what the facts show.
