Transfer portal end of school
#1
What big moves are happening since school is about to go out
#2
Gibson and Osborne to Hazard. Combs to PCC in the 14th.

Hall kids enrolled at pikeville in the 15th. Rumors in another thread of a couple LC players making a move, but I can’t see that happening.

That’s all I have heard as of late.

Why would any kids from Lawrence move after winning the region? Who would leave a winning team and the best coach around here that’s just stupid

I told everyone on here that huff was already given the coaches job but hazard and huff wanted to wait to get some players from Knott to try and get around the rule that says you can’t follow a coach. They must think the KHSAA is stupid.

Huff isn't technically a coach anywhere. He resigned from that position weeks ago. So if those kids "followed" anyone then they followed their assistant principal, does the KHSAA have a rule for that?

It’s very surprising to me that the Hall kids went over to Pikeville. Good luck to them though!

It will still be the same rule because huff was actually told he was hired a week ago but they wanted to hold off so players could transfer and try to get by that rule another rule that will get them is tampering with players. Knott has already filed it with the KHSAA and some more schools will file against this too. Other schools will say, so these three players transferred to a school with no coach which has never happened, and just by coincidence there old coach got the job. I don’t know if they will be ruled ineligible but I think the KHSAA will act just because they are trying to blatantly make them look stupid

Feel like the only transfer that really matters is where keathley ends up. This move changes every perspective. No other big player is goin to make a move
#11
Keathley will be at Martin County
#12
I think Keathley stays at Prestonsburg.

You are saying Knott County has already filed trying to fight the transfer with the KHSAA?

I keep hearing JJ is doing somethings to draw kids to Martin County. I heard the kid from Prestonsburg is going to Martin County.

Whoever has the $ is who’s drawing kids there. I hear it’s a local car dealer. I couldn’t disagree more that JJ is the best coach around. But I know what opinions are like.

Did Prestonsburg play any state ranked teams or did they stay local.  Their record was bad and they are supposed to have this kid that is a great player.  Honest question… I have no idea who this kid is.  Just heard his name a couple times.  If they played a strong schedule/state ranked teams his numbers are impressive but if they stayed local… different story.

If Knott is fighting the transfers maybe they should have thought of that before running out the coach they wanted to play for.

I really do not see the point anymore in fighting transfers. At the next level these young athletes get NIL, at the high school level at least let them play for the coach they truly want to play for.

The politics of Knott and what lead to Coach Huff leaving, these student athletes should not be punished for losing their coach, and wanting to continue to play for him. If a coach makes an impact in your life, and he becomes a 2nd father to you, or she becomes a 2nd mother to you, that connection does not go away when the administration runs your 2nd father away to bring in a new coach. KCC should want players on their roster that are loyal to KCC and who want to play for Coach Honeycutt. I say don't fight it and let them go.

I find that hard to believe considering Hazard picked of the Osborne kid along with T Johnson. He better stay where he is unless he wants to go back and ride the bulldog bench again

I expect this to happen after summer ball. Possible if Weddington ends up not going.

What returning players from Knott officially left for Hazard?

Just seen where Lawrence Co. got a 6'7 big man from Tolsia, WV.

One thing LC definitely lacked last season was size, they made up for it with the way they played.

Huge pickup for LC, kid has a lot of untapped potential. Could be scary good.

Heard Martin county is getting a 6’10 kid that’s pretty skilled from Texas. Any truth? Something about dad that works at prison transferring in.
