Been a while since there was good a Tupac thread. He was the greatest Rapper of all time. There are several facts or stories that would suggest his being alive. Despite the fact that it is highly unlikely, part of me still want to believe that he is alive. So, even though I haven't seen posts from a lot of Tupac fans from previous threads lately, go ahead and put your opinion of him, fav. songs, things surrounding his death, etc...
Out of all respect of a great man Tupac is dead. I think I would love to see him alive but sadly he is not. My favorite Tupac songs would probally be in no order.
Hail Mary
Keep Ya Head Up
Smile
California Love
I Aint Mad At Cha

Never been a big fan of rap music, but out of all the old school rap stuff I do like, Tupac would have to be one of my favs, can't beat that old school Snoop Dogg stuff, lol.

I was a Bone Thugs and Harmony fan. The Mid 90's was a great ERA for rap music. I could take or leave any of it since then though! But when we had Biggie, Bone, 2-Pac, Dr. Dre, Ice Cube, Puff Daddy, Mase, the East Coast/West Coast Feud, it was great.

He is still alive, too much stuff went on with his family for him to be dead.

Has anyone seen some of the pictures with Montel and Tupac together? They look SO much alike!! There are even some groups who made shirts saying that Montel is Tupac!! If I find them again I'll try to post one here

I liked some of his stuff, but seriously how can some of you all say he was a great man? He is the one who started that THUG LIFE crap. For that he got what he deserved.

He lived a "thug" life.

Excuse me....Gangsta Rap (Thug Life) was around before 2Pac. The people credited with the start of it around 1984 are:
Schooly D
Ice-T
Beastie Boys
N.W.A.
2pac didn't hit the scene til the early 1990s when he debuted on 2 "Digital Underground" EPs, He then released his first solo album, "2Pacalypse Now" in 1992. SO, Please know what you are speaking about.

And to those who said he was real and he lived a street life... Does that really justify acting like thug? Truth is those who act like that are cancers on society and deserve the fate they get dealt. Such as he.

So what you are telling us is that you would rather hear the fakes such as "Vanilla Ice" and "Snow".
At least with 2Pac you could believe what he was saying. That is why he was so popular. He wasn't a fake and lived the life that he spoke right to the end. He even spoke it in his songs and even wrote a poem about it before he died. Which was published in "Vibe" after his death.

No I dont like none of that either. What I am saying is I hate the whole "thug life" attitude. I watched some of Tupac's documentary and all i could think was no wonder he got shot.
So here it is... You are a thug = you are a turd. Waste of air.

No one needs to get shot for what they did and the reason he was the way he was is cause of the problems he went through to get to where he was at.

He didn't just one day say, "I got an idea. Let's start something called 'thug life'." He lived it not to impress anyone, but because he did what he believe he had to do. As the lyrics from "changes" say, "I ain't never did a crime I ain't have to do." He didn't just be a "thug" because he thought it was cool. It was his LIFE, how he was raised.

I like many of Tupac's songs, especially Cali Love, but IMO he isn't the best rapper ever. As for his personal life, I think he was genuine in terms of what he believed and said, but he chose a life style and made decisions that ultimately got him killed. Not saying he deserved it though. But he didn't have to live as he did. The deaths of Tupac and Biggie accomplished nothing except to needlessly end a lot of talent and life.

Who's a better rapper?
Remember, you have to consider content of his songs; the flow of his lyrics; the way his music moved you, and how enjoyable it was to listen to.
