Global Warming only a Piece of Problem
#1
Being of Native American heritage, I wonder people's thoughts on this:

"The difference between usefulness and usefulness with beauty is just the difference between telephone wires and a spider's web."

Clear cutting, mountain top removal, chemical plants everywhere, mass farm agricultural run-off... at what point does "usefulness" to human beings become the absence of the spider's web?

An old song sung by the Shashone ancestors:
Ah ne nah, nah Consider the rabbits
nin nah han how gently they walk on the earth--
ah ne nah nah Consider the rabbits
nin nah nah how gently they walk on the earth
Nyaga mutzi We remember them
oh ne nay We can walk gently also
Nyaga mutzi We remember them
oh ne nay We can walk gently also

Some call this "sissy," or "environmental wacko talk"... But, unless we, homo sapiens, learn to walk more gently, will there be anything left to walk on?
