Not a verry good showing from either team, but the Panthers led from start to finish.
Another district title for Pikeville. Get behind Copley and give a little support, never know how far in the playoffs they might go.

The rainy/sloppy conditions didn't help Paintsville much tonight, they finished in 2nd place in their district, more than likely they will have to play Hazard in the 2nd round of the playoffs.

Who got homecoming Queen?

How did Harmon do and plus the Paintsville offense.

Well...I kinda thought Paintsville had the edge in this one....congrats Pikeville

That was the best effort I've seen from Pikeville. They left it all out there. Congrats to the seniors that worked hard for this crown. But also good luck to Paintsville the rest of the way, they are a good football team. I want to give a big thumbs up to Blake Branham who managed this game very well.

Congrats to the Panthers!
Well just to be blunt, I wouldn't expect Paintsville or Pikeville to go very far in the playoffs if they play the way they did tonight!
I wasn't impressed with Pikeville that much. Stop Harmon and they are done. For the most part the Tigers did okay at least containing Harmon instead of shutting him down. But for getting their D stuck on their own 1 yard line with about 50 seconds to go in the half, and but for having a blocked punt returned about 6 yards for a TD, the Panthers would have only scored 6 points! All this with the Tiger D on the field most of the game. What really killed the Tigers was their offense which didn't show up tonight. I've not been to impressed with the Tigers offense the past few games. The Tiger line isn't world class by any means, but IMO the coaching staff doesn't make the best use of their players abilities and the play calling leaves a lot to be desired. Just my opinion and everyone is entitled to one, but for anyone that has been watching this season I'm sure you know what I mean.
This was a game that should have been won by Paintsville in all fairness. I personally doubt that the Tigers will win another game in regular season this year but I'll still hope that I'm wrong.
Not a very strong Pikeville team, but they did what they needed to and got the District Title. Congrats!!

I'll agree with that...
The shotgun set is at a real disadvantage on a slick field. No one in the backfield gets a chance at a running start.
Also, Pikeville did a better job taking care of the football.

Worst Pikeville team in 30 years and Paintsville still can't beat them on their home field. Enough said. Paintsville has 1 win over Pikeville since 1984 I believe. Still Pikeville program is waaaay down, so not the big win over Paintsville it used to be.

The rainy/sloppy conditions didn't help
I agree but that's football season, just glad it was not snowing.
I wanted the tigers to come out with a W on this game. From the games i have seen they are a better team than Pikeville. Good luck in the Playoffs tigers.

HA! HA! HA! HA! Nice support for your team. The glass is always half empty with you.

Nice win for the Panthers!
This is defiantly a game that Pikeville needed to win because of all the pressure and negative remarks said throughout the past few weeks.

Hard fought game from both teams, Pikeville D line came to play tonight, Pike ville linebackers stepped up big tonight also, I thought they should have blitzed #38 more than they did, but D was pretty solid throughout, paintsville never gave up. Go Panthers

The glass is half empty when Pikeville wins the region and loses in the semis...something all Pikeville fans know very well but nobody in charge of football these days knows...

Congrats Pikeville. Did what you had to do.

I don't know that I'd call this the worst Pikeville team in 30 years, but they aren't what Pikeville standards expect. Still you have to give them credit for winning the district and wish them well in the playoffs.
Pikeville played a good steady solid game. Good coaching by the Panthers and execution by the players. Paintsville was slightly the better team this year IMO and they blew it. I don't think anymore needs to be said about Paintsville's blow up last night. We all know that you can't wait until the 4th quarter to figure out what to do. Paintsville blew so many offensive calls last night ....... You can't win if you can't score. Congrats to the Paintsville D, which played fairly well. Pikeville should have only had 6 points the whole game, but only scored 14 on the D. The blocked punt was a joke and an 8 point gift to the Panthers. Can't fault the Panthers for taking what is given to them.

I really like Paintsville chances in this one. As many have said, a shotgun set will be a disadvantage in last nights conditions, but credit Pikeville for pulling it out.

They went 5-6, lost to South Floyd(The only team in school history to do so), and didnt win district. Congrats to our boys. We had a must win game and these boys came out and took care of buisness. Now we have homefield advantage through out the playoffs.

NO, Let him post. He has his opinion just like everyone else. Besides, it's becoming kind of humorous anymore just seeing how it eats at him because Copley's in charge and there's nothing he can do but make snide remarks behind a user name on BGR.

And yet another solution by Jetpilot, the username with the answer to everything. We could start our own website with this username. We could call it "ASK JETPILOT.COM"
