Montgomery Co. 4 - Johnson Central 2
#1
Final.

This game was as good as I thought it would be.

Taylor Potter goes the distance for Montgomery giving up 1ER on 6H and 2D 12K's 0BB. He had great control tonight 67 Strikes to 27 Balls.

Big win for MC against a very good JC team. Best of luck to JC the rest the season.

Great game on the mound from Potter looks like. Who pitched for the Eagles?
#3
Congrats to Montgomery on a very impressive victory!

As good a game as advertised, well worth my $3.

Big win for the Indians. Potter pitched a gem last night; I bet he didn't miss 5 spots all night. If I'm not mistaken he was also 2 for 3 with 2 RBI's at the plate.
I don't know the total but MC left a lot of runners on base. Key play in the game was with one out and two on JC hit screamer to SS and then forces the runner out at 1st to get out of the inning.

MC has a big district game Thursday at Bourbon. Should be another good one.

wow thats hard to believe but way to go Montgomery

94 pitches this early seems to be too many. I think sometimes March Wins are overated.

Congrats on a well pitched game. Both of these are solid teams.
#7
Looks like Conley is the Eagles hero.
They dont have a chance unless he pitches.

If it were a cold night or just out from basketball I would agree, but this kid only plays baseball and I'm sure Coach Combs knows what he's capable of:Thumbs:

What position does Conley play when he's not pitching?

I'm not really sure.
I'd have to say somewhere in the infield though.

It's two games into the season and you want to make a prediction or an assessment on a team by a single loss? That's rediculous, JC is a good team but struggled offensively...it's baseball, things like that happen....even in the pros. MC is a good club, don't let that fool you.

That total would 10.

Another key play, JC has 1 out and a runner on 1st, MC gets a strike him out throw him out from catcher Chris Duzyk.

I have to disagree!!! JC is a very good team. I thought all 3 pitchers that threw for JC did nice job last night. I really liked the left hander (name please) that threw the middle innings. He had good movement on his fastball and a good curve. JC gave up 6BB, but the difference in the game was MC came up with more big hits with runners in scoring position than JC. Also, if JC can get Nick Vance back healthy, thats another strong arm to had to their staff.

Tyler Conn is the lefty that threw last night.
#15
Did the red head kid from JC pitch any?
#16
No.
