The Opening Pitch: Mark it down -- Kentucky is going to win the 2010 college hoops national title.
They had already gone from dud to contender by importing John Calipari, who signed a top-flight recruiting class, to go with returning big man Patrick Patterson, the best post player in the country. (They may even get sharp-shooting guard Jodie Meeks back, too.)
Now Coach Cal and the Cats reportedly have John Wall, the top recruiting prize in the country.
Wall will not only step onto UK's campus as the best college player in the country -- he could have been the prize of tonight's NBA Draft Lottery. (Yes: He could have been the No. 1 overall pick in 2009; instead, he will wait a year, but still be the No. 1 pick in the 2010 draft.)
It is not even June, and college hoops has its dominant storyline: Kentucky is back. Kentucky is No. 1. Kentucky will win the national title.
Because John Wall will lead them.

That's an interesting read. It's good to see that America knows how good Kentucky is going to be. I don't know if I would jump the gun and guarantee a championship in 2010 just yet, but one thing is for sure..Kentucky is back!

Another great day to be a CAT fan! I cant wait to see how a team full of freshmen with Patterson and Meeks gel...Im excited!

Cant wait for the season to start. Here lately ive been looking forward to watching the Cats play football but now I wouldnt mind to skip straight to basketball and Calipari's first championship. Maybe his prediction of matching UK's 7 championships wont be far off!!!!!!

Yea, I believe that I read one of his posts about this subject earlier that said, He will NEVER come to Kentucky, He will be going down to South Beach and Miami for his college season...

Well ive loved Kentucky basketball from little boy, but I am more of a Nova fan now. So this really sucks for me lol and the rest of fans of other teams. However, this is a great day for the cats, a great day for the sport (because Kentucky is back on the map), and a great day to just give the Ville up the "Wall".

Yeah you ar eproably right the beat down is 10-15 points better for the cardinals......John Wall helped them out some....Bledsoe will be better

What will it take to convince you UK is overwhelmingly better than Louisville now? I bet you continue to make excuses even after Kentucky beats the tar out of Louisville this season.

TheVille is in complete denial about his basketball team, ok, here is a question for you... Will Looserville beat Kentucky in Football? Does Krapthorpe make it out of next season?
