LOL, Wrestling is not fake, that's just an uneducated comment about the art of the sport. The outcome is pre-determined, but fake - Ask Dr. D David Schultz if it is fake... LOL

Because there is no competition for either. Let's face it, competition drives interest. At the height of wrestling, you had the WWF's "New Generation" theme competing against the "NWO". Today's TNA still looks like a local show. They have not been able to capitalize on the big names that they have signed who are all basically over the hill. WWE is stale and boring, not worth sitting down for a 2 hour stretch. Not like the peek of WCW/WWF days when you watched 2 hours live a and two hours of tape delay totalling 4 straight hours of wrestling.

As for MMA, UFC stands alone in the general fans int erst. Strikeforce is only known by the real MMA enthusiast, but if you ask the general UFC fan what Strikeforce it, they will likely tell you it is a UFC training team. The days of having intriguing match-ups has waned in UFC. We are getting rematches or fights that are no longer of interest. UFC losing out on the Fedor contract has truly missed an opportunity to revitalize the publics interest.

Anyone that thinks Wrestling is FAKE is purely Clueless. You mean to tell me that slams through a table is FAKE? It's predetermined, which many think Boxing and MMA is on the fix as well, so does that make them FAKE? There is nothing fake about a hip toss, fake would mean that "Bumps" don't really happen.

All that video shows is that certain wrestlers sometimes execute moves wrong. Yes some moves are fake, and some moves doesn't even allow them to actually hit them in the head or what not, but there is some moves that are high flying and what you showed was low grade move that is easy to goof up. Wrestlers does get hurt.

Give me the Early 80's NWA over anything that I have ever watched in Prefessional Wrestling.

But now, I am a MMA Mark. And don't be fooled, there are "Fixes" in MMA as well, so would that make it Fake? Pride was pushed out of business for their "Worked" matches.....

MMA.. And yes, wrestling is fake.. Its purely entertainment... Yes, they do alot of stunts, and its hard on their bodies, but so do stuntmen in movies.. Its a male soap opera lol I was really into wrestling in the mid to late 90's, but theres just so many times we can watch ________ (Insert a star wrestler) fued with Vince McMahon.. It gets old. Theres a reason they changed the name from Federation to Entertainment..

And yes, some MMA organizations have steered the results of matches, but the UFC has done a good job of being straight up and fair, unlike some others.. Right now, the UFC is at the height of its popularity. A Brock Lesnar vs. Fedor Emilianeko card would have been the most watched PPV MMA match in history. I applaud Dana White for trying everything in his power to give the people what they wanted, so the blame is all on Fedor and his manager. I'd like to see Shane Carwin get a shot at Brock tho.

I am kinda over both of them. However as for the Wrestling is fake debate, check out Mickey Rooney's new movie. It is called the wrestler and is at Blockbuster only. Even if it does not answer any of your questions i garauntee you will like the movie.

See as a fan of just about every sport out there, I have noticed while watching wrestling I am into it as much as any sport of TV or at any game that I attend.

I can honestly say that wrestling is choreographed, and some of it is not always as real as it seems. When you get kicked in the gut, the man kicking pulls back a bit, but still kicks him, just where it doesn't hurt that much.
It's sort of like a dance, where you have moves you learn, and when you learn them you put them in matches and its put in front of an audience. I honestly thought Stacy Keibler did so well on Dancing with the Stars because she was a wrestler and athlete. Because it is just like a dance, choreographed, and planned out.

But to that point, it may not seem like a sport. Until you realize that even though it is choreographed, and planned as I mentioned, you have no idea who the winner will be. Sure you have an idea or guess of who will win, but you really don't know.

Just like in any sport, like football, baseball, basketball, etc. See you have no idea who will win it either, an just like wrestling you may have a guess of who will win, but it could be either one of them.

I think wrestling is the placebo to sports, its just like a sport in every way, like a placebo is to medicine. It looks like a pill acts like a pill, and you take it and you believe it works, just like wrestling. We watch it, and it is just like any other sport, when it seems different.

Sure you watch it and like it, but is it just like basketball or football? Just like a plecebo, you can't tell a difference. When you watch it, it will always be the same, just not. Surely people who understand wrestling can tell you that.
People who have never seen a wrestling match judge it, and say its fake because they heard it was. When in all actuality they have never known one bit about it. If they were to watch it and actually see an entire show, they would see it as any other sport.

I watch wrestling and enjoy wrestling as much as a boxing match or MMA fight, and why? Because its just another sport, all the same things involved, the action, climax, and drama that all sports provide.
