#1
7 turnovers for Central.
#2
Congrats to the Cardinals.

Keep subject on this game only. Attention other area fans keep it on this game and keep it clean. Consider this your warning.
#4
congrats cards sounds like good game
#5
Congrats SC! The D did a great job causing turnovers.
#6
Cody Sloan has to get player of the night. 2 huge interceptions in the 2nd half. Intercepted Johnson Central's last drive in the end zone with a minute to go. Congrats Cards

This year's Belfry/SC game will be unrivaled for the hype leading up to it.

Hats off to the Cards. JCHS continues to struggle and continue to trip over themselves.
#8
good win for sheldon clark
#9
JC 0-4,,wouldnt have thought that. Matney said before the season this was his most explosive backfield. You just never know sometimes.
#10
Hard to win with that many turnovers, Congrats Cards nice win!
#11
Congrats to Sheldon Clark still a little shocked. Sheldon Clark is starting to make a believer out of me in them!
#12
Thought JC might pull this out but I was wrong which is not unusual this season LOL.
#13
Congrats Cards! Eagles sounds like Turnovers killed you.
#14
Give me that crow!! Wow, shocked by this. SC is the real deal as is LC, and Prestonsburg. They're the hottest teams in Eastern KY. Congrats to the Cards and Coach Hager. I'm sure he's basking in this victory over his mentor.
#15
I predicted Sheldon Clark to win earlier in the week but changed my prediction and picked JC to win. Way to prove me wrong Cardinals!

Was listening to KHS Gamenight after the P-burg game and they said that JC had some costly turnovers and out gained SC in total offensive yards. Sounded like a defensive battle as well as neither team had over 275-yards of total offense.

Congrats Cards.... keep your heads up Eagles!
#16
Congratulations Cards. One of the best pursuit defenses I have seen in a long time.

If there is one thing that Coach Hager knows how to do... he knows how to win UGLY.
#18
At least they can say there winning Smile
#19
Congrats Cards. Tough loss for the Eagles. 0-4 is definitely not the way to start a season. Good Luck on the rest of the season. Cant wait to watch the P-Burg SC game in two weeks!
#20
what is going on in paintsville the ashland jc game isnt shaping up very well for the eagles
#21
The Sc defense really stepped up especially Cody Slone and BJ Jarrell. Sad night for the Eagles losing on Homecoming but SC played tonight like they did againt Breathitt County and a Hager proved he is no longer Matney's pupil. Great Win and hope that Skyles and the others get better soon. Also a big hand goes out to the SC crowd, they well outstanding from start to finish. Hard fought game but SC prevailed and maybe this will get them back on track.:Thumbs::Thumbs::Thumbs::Thumbs::Thumbs::Thumbs:
#22
I Figured SC would win by my more considering they were playing JC but I guess a win is a win. Keep your heads up Central you might get you FIRST WIN next week.:eyeroll:
#23
WOW!!!...I really thought this woud be one of those wins for JC...good job sheldon clarke...JC is down this year it seems.
#24
Congrats SC
#25
wow...gotta say 0-4 i would have never predicted it
#26
Awesome game to be at tonight. Sc's defense just swarmed the ball and forced so many turnovers. Avery Ray really stepped it up tonight after Skyles went down. Matt Slone plaed a great offensive game and Cody Slone came up woth a big INT at the end of the game.
#27
WTG Cards!!!
#28
Anyone have any stats?

No excuses now if you ask me. A loss to the local foes. Although while SC is one of the better 3A teams, JC is 5A. Two losses to two of the states top 4A schools and one of the state's top 3A schools. Not much different in enrollments though. If I remember correctly, back in the old alignment SC had the smallest 3A enrollment and JC's was the largest 3A enrollment. Keep your heads up JC, maybe next week.

-whew-

Central's first games put me in mind of what Lawrence Co. went through last year. The Bulldogs had a hard schedule, playing very tough early, but just never quite enough. And as we all know, that team broke down and finally lost the will to compete against teams they should have defeated.

If Johnson Central IS this year's Lawrence Co., it'll be a test of character to see if the Eagles can fight through this. They absolutely MUST start hanging on to the football !!
