Our top vacation spots
1a. Maui - If you have not been, it can only be described by experience
1b. Grand Canyon - same as above
2. Las Vegas - more than just gambling. Do it every year and never get tired of it
3. Manhattan - Awe inspiring for a city
4. LA - probably my wifes #1, can't help but run into stars of all kinds.
5. San Francisco - serene, tranquil and best food than any place in the US
6. Pensacola - I love the white beaches. Never have had bad weather
7. Orlando - Incredible times with the kids, want to go back now without them
8. Miami - What can I say about the nightlife, you see if all (even more than Vegas)
9. Washington DC - not really a vacation for me, but I go at least 12 times per year and never get tired of it
10. Chicago - wrap all the big citys and what they offer into one city. No place better to witness Baseball, Football, Basketball and have even been to a Hockey game.

Speaking of Myrtle Beach... my buddy and co-worker is part owner at a bar that is opening up in the Spring in North Myrtle Beach. It's literally the 2nd row back from the beach, he is excited about it. I am going up there Easter weekend to check it out. If anyone is of age that is planning on going to Myrtle this summer let me know and I might score you a free drink or appetizer.

Of the places I've been lucky enough to see in my lifetime:

The two best places (occuring naturally) that I've been on vacation:
1) Swiss Alps (got to ski off the Klein Matterhorn)
2) Either Kauiai or Bora Bora (Bora Bora is actually prettier, but the cost is ridiculous)

The two prettiest cities on earth:
1) Paris (you could stay there for a year and not see everything)
2) San Francisco (incredibly diverse city)

The two best places to visit for fun:
1) Las Vegas (truly the town that never sleeps)
2) New York City (the world in one place - if you don't mind the crime and grime)

The place with a culture most different from ours:
Anywhere in the orient (Japan, China, etc.)
#20
Pigeon Forge, Tennessee
Myrtle Beach

In terms of travel, I've been pretty lucky in my life, Amun. It's really neat to see great sights, but I always had just as much fun meeting new people when I get to travel. Seeing other cultures and the values that other people live by in their everyday lives is pretty eyeopening. You learn to appreciate what other people go through, and the limitations on their opportunities - but you also get to see people rise above some tough hardships.

With all of that being said, Dorothy got it right in "The Wizard of Oz". There really is no place like home.

I've never been to Montreal, but I've heard that it's a pretty neat city. I'd like to go there someday.
