Kentucky's Road to the Final Four
#1
Lets take a look at Kentucky's potential road to the Final Four: We've gotta get through the scariest #8 seed of all-time in Texas in a potential second round match-up. We win that, we either get Wisconsin, Temple, or Cornell in the sweet sixteen. We make it to the elite eight, we potentially get West Virginia, New Mexico, or Marquette.

Really tough region for the Wildcats!

IMO, Kansas and Kentucky has the hardest road to the final four
#3
Texas has the talent to beat any team in the tourney. Frekon WVU is the best 2seed. Why the **** are they not in Dukes braket?
#4
The cats got a tough bracket! I am glad louisville got in dukes bracket though..Tough game against cal though first

This is the worst job the ncaa committee has ever done.

What a rough schedule!
#7
Kentucky and Kansas have the toughest road to the Final Four Kansas is the #1 overall seed. I don't buy it. Duke got a #1 seed that it did not deserve and they may have the easiest road. There is still a good chance that still won't make it past the second or third round, even with the committee doing them a favor.

I swear I wouldn't be surpised to see TX get there swag back and beat UK.
On CBS there picking WVU to be in the final 4.
#9
UK has a tough road but I'm more worried about Wisconsin in the sweet 16. WVU is good, but they like to run, and they could not run with UK.
#10
Hubert Davis, Digger Phelps, and Dic/k Vitale all pick UK to make the Final Four.

Vitale picks UK to win the national championship!

YA BABY....at least someone has some sense..*cough*Tournament committee...the bracket is horrible especially for UK, arent top seeds supposed to have easier schedules?

Sorry NYY10, but Duke DID NOT deserve their 1 seed. Just based on the Georgetown results, it's a no-brainer.

Cats will do away with E.Tenn.State. yet, a big match-up against Rick Barnes and the Longhorns in the second round....Wow !! seems as though they were put n a tough bracket for unknown reasons

i think the cards are very cappable of beating dUKe, and KY probally has the hardest road to win it all, but hey if they do you want to beat the best.........go CATS
#16
I hope it backfires & the Cards take Duke out early..

Cornell is the "sleeper" that Jay Bilas picked for the shock factor. Cornell may get past the 1st round, but I don't see them beating a Wisconsin team that beat Duke, Maryland, and Mich. St.

Kentucky got absolutely hosed with this bracket, as did Kansas. It's as though the committee sat down and said, " Let's give Duke the easiest possible bracket, and throw as many roadblocks at UK and KU as possible."

Does Coach K have incriminating pictures of some of the selection committee members?

I have not seen Wisconsin play this year, but they scare me more than Texas after looking at their wins this year. I said when Texas was ranked #1 that they did not impress me and look bad at the end of the year. Who has seen Wisconsin play this year and what do you think of them?

They are catering to Duke, just like they always do. Nothing new here.

Honestly, I don't see UK's bracket as being difficult. I loved it as soon as I saw it and felt that we had an easy route. Everyone is stuck on Texas's potential versus what they have acutally done. Texas is not that good. Sure, they have potential, but take them out of their home court and they are bad. They never played to potential, and I have never seen a team that didn't live up to potential during the season find the light switch during the tournament. They match-up well on the inside, but their inside guys play lazy. I do not see Cousins, Orton and Patterson having any issues scoring against the Texas big men. Texas gets very lazy on the offensive boards, thus I see UK dominating the glass. It's not even close in the guard comparisons.

Wisconsin and Temple are typically tough match-ups because of their pressure defense. The Cats guards will KILL these two teams if they stick to that type of approach. Both teams will have to rely on the Zone defense in shutting down the Cats. Though I have been the biggest worrywart about the Cats three point shooting, they will not need threepoint shooting to beat these two teams. I don't believe either of these two teams can score enough points against the Cats.

Marquette does not worry me. Ahtletic, but not skilled. New Mexico has a nice combination of players, but no way are they as talented as the Cats. West Virginia is the type of team that can challenge the Cats, but for me, the X factor will be Bob Huggins. Though I have a serious concern with Cal's ability to win the Big game, I have lived it with Huggins for all his years at UC. Huggins can not win a game against a team ranked higher than him. Huggins will find a way to lose.

After reading this, I am more confident in UK's ability to advance fairly far. One thing that does make me uneasy is that Huggins does find a way to lose BUT when he has a GREAT player, the player can carry the team (example, Kenyon Martin). I believe that Bobby has the players that can win IN SPITE of him. I still think that if UK gets that far, they will beat WVU.

i think the cuse has the easiest road i mean they have no competition until elite 8, my sleeper is utep i have them going to sweeet 16

Whether Wake Forest or Texas wins either teams scares me as a potential 2nd Rd matchup!
