John Tyler Pickerell has been missing since his kayak flipped in Lake Cumberland Wednesday night. Crews searching for him found his body Friday morning in Pulaski County.Crews who have spent the past two days searching for a missing teen have found his body.
They made the discovery Friday morning in Lake Cumberland, in Pulaski County, where 18-year-old John Tyler Pickerell disappeared Wednesday night while kayaking.

Sad news to hear. At least this family has some closure now. I am sure they would have rather found him alive, but at least they can begin to put the pieces back together.

Guys I knew this young man personally, his family are great people. The crews have worked non-stop since Wednesday I want to thank the Pulaski County Rescue Squad and the Boone County Water Rescue Team they have done a remarkable job. I also want to thank the Students, Staff, and Faculty of Southwestern High School. You guys were there for comfort when the family needed you most. I want to thank all of the churches for sending personnel and for the food provided. BGR family please keep the Pickerell family in your prayers they are having an exteremly hard time dealing with this as would anyone else.
Thanks,
CB
