Great game. JC never led until overtime. Gutsy move by Coach Mills to go for two.

I would have gone for two with the problems on the short kicks they've had. However, I think Knox gave this one away. This was an excellent game by both teams and I will say one thing. Johnson Central is not anywhere near ready for HIGHLANDS.

Sloppy.... but a win is a win.
JC needs to work on tackling, dont worry about the BIG hits and wrap up!!!!!!!!

Knox was impressive. Very good game. I don't blame him for going for 2 though. JC had it rolling in the 2nd half and Knox was having a hard time stopping them.

Knox will be fine this season. They had a good game plan to beat JC tonight.
WYMT really needs better camera operators and announcers.

Great game. Congrats to JC. No time to celebrate have to get ready for Bell Co. You got to love this schedule.

You aint kidding. The Knox Cent. bias for one of the announcers was pathetic. Many times you could tell me the sound of his actions and voice who he was for. WYMT does a great job of give coverage to this kids they wouldnt otherwise have, but the should be able to be a bit more professional than they are.

Sheldon Clark is next week.

No doubt. But JC had better come ready to play in the first like the did against Boyle Co. instead of waiting til after halftime to finally show up. It may not hurt them against SC, but Bell will blow the door of the hinges.

At this point, I have to agree with you, but I'm sure they will improve as the season goes along.

They'll certainly improve with the schedule that they are playing and that might be the key. However, I expect the birds to improve as well.

Knox County has a very solid football team. Big up front and a very good mix on offense. I think JC played a good game. What worries me is the deep pass in the second half. It didn't look like anyone was on him. Some one might have fell. Either way they don't need blown coverages like that in the playoffs. The offense looked great though. JJ started it off and JK finished the running assault.

I watched the end of this game and I'll say this, Knox Central's coach made the right call to go for two to win the game. Too bad Turpin was on the sidelines with cramps (I believe).
Was a fun game to watch though.
Congrats Eagles!

Didnt think this one would be this close, if there ever was a such thing as a moral victory i believe this would be it as much as JC has been heped this year.

Blown coverages and penalties will get you beat in a heartbeat in the playoffs.

Caught the end of this game. And I was a HUGE supporter in the 2 point conversion. But I really didn't like the play call. But the play call probably had a lot to do with #2 going down with cramps after he ran the touchdown in OT.
All in all, very exciting game to watch! Congrats Eagles!

Does anybody have an update on Ross Sanor's inury?

PATs were a strong point for KC last season but a sore spot this year even though they use pretty much the same team. Had they made even one of the two missed PATs, this game would not have went to OT.
JC showed me they are a solid team. Congrats to them. KC made great strides from last week and will get even better as the weeks go by. You'll hear from both these teams in the post season.

JC was expected beat Knox handily by most and nothing could have been further from the truth. It was a war to the end.

As for the PATs misses - yes they were important; but that same kicker also made a FG that allowed the game to be tied.
The 2 point conversion call was the right call. We lost doing our very best to win.
Congrats to JC.

Great game. Bout what I expected.
Preston was actually running with Canady on the long pass. Canady got a step on him and Barger hit him in full stride with a perfect ball. Not so much a blown coverage as just a great play by KC. We're not the only team that will struggle to stop Canady this season. Knox's QB is one of the best HS QBs I've seen in a while. He runs well and throws a tight and accurate ball. Their defense is well schooled and knows how to stay home and tackle in open field. Didn't think they were that far off from Boyle County, honestly. They played smart and mostly mistake free. Did they turn it over a single time?
We did very well to win the game. Is a credit to our players and the staff's halftime adjustments. Jude ran as hard tonight as I've ever seen him. A lot of those yards were willpower. Hall made some great open field tackles to stop potential big gainers. Ousley blocked well and how about those hands on the two point conversion?
For anyone out there who thinks JC underchieved in this game and should've blown out KC, I hope YOUR team has KC on the schedule. You play 'em. See how you do with them. They're just good.
