- Alex Mallory threw for 308 yards and Ballard won its first game in three tries by knocking down the Pirates early. The Bombers led 23-0 at halftime.

Leading 15-0, Ballard used a fake punt and got the ball to Alex Hill, who scampered 21 yards to set up a Mallory touchdown toss and two-point conversion that made it 23-0.

Heath kept the outcome in doubt with an early score in the second half. But midway through the period, Hill, despite a double-team, snatched a 10-yard throw from Mallory on third down for a 30-6 advantage.
