I would say Jackson Co., LCC, and Paintsville.

I would definitely think South Laurel would be looking for a new coach.
Welch has killed that program with his 5th grade playbook. Somethings got to change there, and the administration needs to do it before to long so the kids can get accustomed to a new coach and also give a new coach the opportunity to get things in place before the summer.
Lynn Camp will never get rid of Mitchell. He will leave when he wants to leave, which has hurt Lynn Camp more than its helped the past couple of years. He owns that school and everybody knows it. When he retires they'll start looking for someone new.
I would think Letchers coach would be on the hot seat after such a disappointing season. They had high expectations for those kids this year and never went anywhere with them.
A lot of people seem to be getting unhappy with Jewell at Corbin to. The big thing that has kept them there are his wins but they were easy wins. Hes had a lot of success there, but starting next year his "easy" district championships and easy playoff victories will be coming to an end with the arrival of Bell County and the move to 3A for Corbin. Don't be surprised to see people calling for him to be thrown out if they start losing to Bell year in and year out. For the foreseeable future though i believe he will be the coach, at least 3 or 4 more years.
Jackson County is such a overwhelmed school just getting started that i don't know if anybody could go there and win now. They need a coach who knows how to build and build and build, a proven coach who can really start things up.
And last but not least Bell County coach Dudley Hilton..................HAHA Just kiddin

Hopkinsville is a possibility
11-06-2010, 08:06 AM
So would you actually think that the North Laurel coach would be on the rocks also?
11-06-2010, 08:09 AM
Well Dayton high just posted their job on KHSAA
11-06-2010, 08:13 AM
Grant County has an opening. Out west I've heard maybe Bardstown, Bullet East, Hopkinsville, Lincoln County, Fern Creek and possibly Owensboro.

Letcher Central's should probably go, but will never happen....One or two assistants will be the scapegoat and their proverbial throats will be cut. The most classless act I have ever seen from a coach happened with the head coach from LCC. Senior night and he never even showed up to eat with his kids and the opposing team. Shame coach, shame...:dontthink
11-06-2010, 08:18 AM
Ok well maybe we should look at the Available coaches or we can possible throw around a few names that people dont know. Who and Why ??

I hear an ex southwestern coach named Eadwin Allen is eying the Jackson Co job. He was Dale Anderson's asst for like 11 years..

Have you ever felt so sorry for a bunch of seniors in all of your life???? They can't blame all of it on the players, they are the same ones who played for district and regional titles. He is a classless act along with is assistant Puckett and our administration for allowing this to continue.

I am sure the list will grow between now and January.

Rumors are that Marty Moore, former New England Patriot, will be taking over the Boyd County program next year. He had applied previously when Evans was hired. Time will tell.

No, it was pitiful....He did not go out and shake dad's hands, hug momma, or say boo to the players.........I have tried to be rather quiet about things this year but this was totally classless..And to think Anna has his wife and sister on the payroll, hired his buddy Beder, good hire and it is my understanding he has not worked a day this entire year........

Let's see: 2009 & 2010
Beat #1 Pulaski County
Beat #2 Knox Central
Beat Clay County
2-0 against rival South Laurel
Double OT loss to Harlan County
Beat #1 Williamsburg
After two years of having a record of 8-12 when the past 4 years combined they were 9-31 with no district victories or signature wins???

Very True, It was stated that he was headed back home to Rockastle County

Rock has a fine coach, Scott Parkey played at Rock, coached the middle school team for several years and coached at the high school several years before being a head coach.

Sounds like Rock would be fine... Guess it is fair to say North Laurel would be off the market then..
11-06-2010, 09:58 AM
Ok people , what coaches around the state are ready for a job??

I wish Scott the best and he was a fantastic middle school coach, and did well as an assistant BUT he at the LEAST should be on the hot seat. I am not saying to fire him, but at least let him know that only one winning season in three years is not acceptable. The talent has been down and there have been many close games, however, good teams find a way to win some of those games.
Maybe no longer having the guaranteed loss of Bell County every year will lift the spirits of the Rockets. They should have a GREAT season next year with MANY returning starters, I honestly think that if they have a losing season his support will dry up. Hopefully with Estill County, Russell County (who loses 10+ seniors) and Madison Southern, and no Bell County, will give them some confidence. Being a former Rocket and Rocket coach buys him a little time because he knows the area and the families. I wish him the best because he is a great guy and has a great football mind.

Russell County does loose 10 seniors, but they've been winning because of their offense and loose little there. Running backs are Fr & Soph. They have a sophmore QB that is extremely tallented and has good size & speed. Rock will struggle in a district with Knox Central & Russell Co.
Canady and Britt are two of the most tallented rb's in the state. I have the pleasure of know both.

Welcome to the site. It is good to have another person that lives in Russell County on the site. With that said, you are forgetting about a quality Clay County team as well. I guess we can agree to disagree about the quality of the Lakers as competition next season.

With the new district schedule, I beleive alot of new coaches will have pretty good success of the bat. Well atleast that seems possible.

it probally wont happen but Madisonville North needs one,i know there tired of losing in the 1st round..

Look for Coach Reigns to make his appearance to a school near you. If you do not know Coach Reigns he was the state title coach at LCA 2009 before he was ran off , due to a school policy. If you know the story , he was setup up by Haters.. I know the man and he is tough but an amazing coach ..
