Oh come on now, just who are you trying to con here? Perkins was the Welfare King of this country. He was this main initiator of every give a way, get something for nothing program that the federal government ever produced. Eastern Kentucky will forever be crippled useless because of his lobbying efforts to LBJ of more and more and more for the useless freeloaders of eastern kentucky..

I still don't get it, why do you support cradle to grave entitlements when you had to travel just to find work, most of your working life to make ends meet for your family.

Still, you worked for what you have. Why the support for somebody too good or too lazy to get out and do the same?

For every Republican doing it there are several Democrats doing the same so I will gladly take your deal. Your posts are full of hate on here OnB...I have never said this to anyone on here, but you really seem like a bad person. I hope I'm wrong, but anyway good luck with all the hate issues.

I find this as one of the most hilarious(and idiotic) statements that you have ever posted, and there has been many. You are the master of bitterness, hate, and oh yeah, hypocrisy. Three of the main food groups for a far right wing Republican.. Anyone that disagrees with you or contradicts you, you like to attack personally. Sometimes I do post controversial statements(some over the top) just to see what kind of responses I get from posters. Sometimes, responses from some of the posters is very informative and interesting to read. Hoot Gibson,Bob Seger, The Realville, and others have good posts and I enjoy reading them. I may not agree with all of them, but I do agree with many of them on both sides of the argument. Most Republicans I know are very good people as are most Democrats. People can have differences of opinions and have heated discussions and still remain friends. I have no problem with anyone attacking or disagreeing with what I post, but I do take offense sometimes when posters attack me personally when they don't know what the hell they are talking about. This appears to be a common character trait of yours that reappears anytime someone posts anything you do not agree with or is not in lockstep with your opinion.

Didn't attack you at all. Just said you seemed like a bad person to me, and I hoped I was wrong. This post just reinforces how you come across to me. As for me, I don't hate anyone, even you.

Moral of the story: Don't believe everything you hear.

Rogers is the last Republican who I voted against and I did so because he spends and he campaigns just like Perkins did. Then I realized that as bad as he is, Rogers does not cast his most important votes for crooked socialists like Pelosi. I never agaiin, nor will I ever vote for a Demoncrat for national office again.

Carl Perkins' damage to the moral fabric and economy of eastern Kentucky cannot be overstated. Once prided for the work ethic of its people, our region is not looked down upon as an economic basket case because it is inhabited by so many lazy adults who have been on the government dole for generations.

Except for LBJ, nobody deserves more blame than Perkins for creating a culture of dependency that taints the reputation of all of us who hail from eastern Kentucky, whether or not we have retained the work ethic that once made our people so prized by factories and steel mills throughout the Midwest.
