I agree, by reading these post I would think Boyle has had .500 seasons the past few years. French has done as well as Smith could have.

Those stats are straight from a KHSAA web site! Looking back at the stats Boyle was about 60% run and 40% pass from 1999-2004 from 2008-2013 Boyle was 65% run and 35% pass! Just looking at the stats on the KHSAA web site! In 1997-1998 looks like Boyle was 60% pass and 40% run however those were the most disappointing years under Coach Smith second round upset by Bourbon in 1997 and second round loss to Lexington Catholic in 1998! I guess the coaches decided to that they would have to run the ball or be as balanced as they could to win a state championship! And the talent level is not close to what it was from 1999-2004 the closest to that talent level that coach French had was 2008-2010!

So I wasn't far off with my guess of 60%-40% under Smith and 70%-30% under French. anyone who knows football knows that a balanced offense is harder to defend.
