imo ha!
If it keeps raining like it is it may be very low scoring
Bourbon has turf field, but a wet football could equal turnovers.
O'mara makes a difference.

His numbers aren't as inflated as popes because of the balance and tempo of the Mason offense.

He is very good.
Bourbon County 28
Mason County 21
Is there a station on the iPhone app tunein radio I can listen to this game? I'm not seeing a 102.3 I looked at the "Lexington/Fayette" area
I do want to say that not every BoCo fan shares the same thought process as "Kickrocks". Most are much more respectful of other programs (like HSFOOTBALL) and know it is a 1 game at time process. That being said I do believe that Bourbon is much better than Mason County and will win by 3-4 TD's in the end.

Pope should be good to go for this game and start. Johnson may see some snaps at QB (maybe some wildcat formation), but I wouldn't expect any major changes to the offense.

I didn't say he wasn't good...

I think its a little unfair to say Pope's numbers are inflated ... 77 attempts through 6 games is about 13 attempts per game. 146 attempts in 12 games is 12 attempts per game. Looks about the same to me.

I agreeO'mara is a good QB (D1 may be pushing it a little) but if you did not get a chance to see Pope play before he was injured, you couldn't appreciate the impact he had on the game. Not having him tonight doesn't look like it will matter as the qb for each team looks to be limited due to the weather.
Should be 102.3

Inflated may be the wrong word. Bourbon plays a faster paced offense looking to score as much as they can as quick as they can. Mason although they spread you out controls the clock and the tempo more. Limiting possessions and shortening games. O'mara is great at controlling tempo and reading defenses. It wasn't meant as an insult. Just two different styles.
Bourbon played against Omara last year, I saw him play this year. Don't see what all the hype is. Good QB, big kid with a big arm, but let's not make him about to be Tom Brady. He still not nearly as talented as Pope, IMO
If I remember right, everyone also said that the Colonels wouldnt be able to run the ball against Russell and they definitely wouldnt have a running clock. They scored 35 in the first half. I'm sure both teams will be prepared. The team that wants it more will be the victor in this matchup.

I thought O'mara missed that game last year due to injury.
I searched it on that App, and it's saying it's unavailable and redirects me to an oldies station in Boulder Colorado lol I'll try it again at 8 if not I'll look up stations in Maysville

He played in the game last year
Wa he injured in that game. I thought he injured his knee and missed all of basketball season because of it. Or maybe I'm thinking back to Pawsat.

In the 6 games pope played, was really only 3 games, because of running clocks & Jv in for second half of every game
Two. It was Pawsat that was injured in the game against Belfry a few years back. My bad.
I still really like O'mara though.
