Would love to see the big private (legally able to recruit) school go down but, no chance.

You sure itâs not going to be Somerset with a running clock? If your going to dream, dream big.

If I'm an offensive play caller for SHS, I'm going down swinging for the fences. I'm not being ignorant, but I'm trying everything I have in my playbook hoping to keep CAL on their toes and find ways to negate the advantages they have.
Tall tasks aren't impossible. Lets hope Somerset brings the A game and leave it on the field. Make it the best game possible!
Go Jumpers!

I'm sure Robbie Lucas is reading all this running clock stuff and thinking about calling CAL and telling them not to bother to come because his Jumpers have no chance. Most likely he gave his players the week off because there just wasn't any use to prepare. You do know the rain is coming and field conditions could be very bad. Jumpers like that kind of conditions just look at last year score with Beechwood. Go Jumpers, represent this end of the state well. Somerset 14-13 in a shocker.

I know how Coach Lucas feels about the Privates. He's going to feel worse about them after CAL comes in and takes their lunch money. Rain, snow, ice, mud. It won't matter. This CAL team can run the football down their throat in the mud. They have 2 very capable backs, and the best player on the field easily. I'll honestly be surprised if Somerset can score on them.

I look for it to be a good game. This is the semi-finals. Both these teams have had outstanding seasons. I look for CAL to win this game, but anything close to a running clock would be surprisising to me. As far as coaches reading these idiotic post(mine included). I hope they have better things to do.

I'm not buying into all the hype around CAL. If they come into Somerset and blow em out, I will happily eat my crow. Until then, I fully believe it will be a close game with Somerset coming out on top.

Would you like that fried, grilled or baked on Saturday morning? All this banter aside, I expect this to be a good game. Bad teams donât make it to this point in the season. I donât expect a running clock. Just for the record, I hate running clocks and all the threads about running clocks this year in regard to all teams. Hoping for a good game with no injuries or stupid penalties that carry over to the next game. This is a rematch for the seniors on both team of the 8th grade playoffs. That was a good game and I expect this to be the same. See you Friday night, Iâll be the one in the CAL shirt. 😎

Hard to compare middle school games. Metropolitan Jefferson County is fertile recruiting grounds. How many players has CAL added since that game?

CAL 35
Somerset 14
Somerset 14

I should probably opt for grilled or baked, but its the holidays so I'm going for fried! I do agree with you there, I wish they'd get rid of the running clock. Can't wait for tomorrow night!!

I think Somerset's defense will be able to get a few stops, but, I still think CAL manages to score 4 or 5 times and I don't see the Jumpers getting more than a touchdown, if that, so, I'm thinking a 31-7 type game..

Recruiting is against the rules. Lost more seniors than we gained from that class. The majority of our kids have played together since elementary school. I figured the core group at Somerset was probably in a similar situation.

One fried wing coming up. Not going to feed you the whole crow because your boys had a good showing. Good game.
