I really have no preference when we play or who we play.
I'll be there.
I'll be there.

Just dont see it looking forward and that is a true unbiased opinon I would agree that it could be Pikeville = Pike Central.

How does PCC play Valley in the PCB when the play them in the regular season?

You make a good point, but I am no Pikeville fan, trust me, I've spent weeks bashing them in the basketball threads. But Pikeville has won a district championship every year since Hazard was in their district. Yeah I know what you're thinking, "But RB, they only play teams like Phelps, Allen Central and South Floyd." Well that may be true, but their school also has about 500 students less. Until PCC wins a district championship, I will never believe Pike Central = Pikeville.

Outside the Belfry/Pikeville games, ER/PHS/PCC/SV will always alternate in a sense where East Ridge and Pike Central don't play. It's not a hard concept to wrap your mind around.
I'm pretty sure ER doesn't play Phelps

You got me. I guess they decided to let Virgil run the PCB this year. Why they did this, it beyond me and kinds makes me upset. PCC/SV games are always exciting in the PCB. I guess Osbourn knows PCC will beat them like a drum, so they might slip by East Ridge.

Fair enough, I will say this IF Hazard was still in their district I could give them more respect for a district championship. It is also interesting to me looking at 93 forawrd to current day even though Pikevile only had 500 students they provided more bodies than Pike Central up untill two years ago. Which is quite interesting when considering at one point in the old class system (Pike Central first playoff game), they were 3 A.

Oh my God! A couple of winning seasons and they are elite now?

They will also continue to get better as the years go on so get used to it. We like it near the top, but we won't stop until we are the alpha male of the county.

I believe of he ever did leave that the Pike Central job would be wanted more. The good thing is we shouldn't have to worry about that Chapman enjoys it on the hill.

Now, now.... how many winning seasons has PC had? Consolidated in what year? ......... I guess it's a work in progress.
Even if... now read this correctly HR.... EVEN if PC were to beat Belfry.... do you think doing so would render them the "alpha male of the county"? I'm guessing here but I think they are many out there that would agree that it would take more than one loss by a team that has "alpha" status year in and year out for PC to be considered top dog.... NOT knocking PC by any means as those young men work hard every year too but Belfry is Belfry when it comes to football. AND... IMHO, PC (and others I won't mention) put too much focus on beating Belfry during the season... Let the kids play ball and stop putting pressure on them.... Yes, they want to win.... you play to win, it's part of the game but all the smack talk is really, really getting outta hand!!! You have to agree on that one!

Pike Central is on the uprise, idc what any pikeville fan wants to say.
pikeville has not been good since 2004, but yet all the fans every year say next year oh next year were going to be so good. still havent happened, actualy getting worse. no matter what anyone says pikeville will never beat any team thats halfway decent, like a 3a team like SC belfry even a 2a like prestonburg, they will keep getting there wins from little ol betsy layne and allen central. i could say if pikeville and central switched classes pike central would go to state more than likely or at least win the region every year. lol. and pikeville wouldnt win one game, cuz every team they play that central play they always seem to get destroyed for some reason??

To answer the first question basically 2. They have finished with a .500 record a few times.
Now now phs I never once stated beating Belfry would make us the alpha male. You concluded that one on your own I just said we won't stop until we are. Yes there is a lot of focus on beating Belfry, but I don't think beating them one would make anyone a alpha male. It would take years of winning against them and others in the county. It would also take a few region titles and a state runner-up or two.

Correct me if I am wrong on this one PHS but you have been around a little longer than I have so you may know with your affiliation and all. However, to my knowledge the two consolidated schools Johns Creek nor Mullins ever defeated Belfry in football. Which would bring the total overall record in years to what, an 80 year losing streak depending on the schools in question had programs during the full time???

To my knowledge the only other county school Belfry has ever lost too besides Pikeville was Elkhorn City.

See I thought the same thing but then I thought about it more, and I think that year it was Pikeville that Johns Creek beat and went into the Belfry game undefeated and lost.
