I would agree we came to your house and was beat but not smashed. My memory score was 14-10 at half and we blew it no adjustments and only tried one play, Hopkins up the middle which was impossible with belfry's defense. Did not even try to get him out in space with swing paces, etc. Dont get me wrong not taking anything away from belfry's win just bourbon did not help themselves any.....and outcome may have very well been same just sayin

35-10 is smashed in most people's book. Playing close for a half gets you nothing. Both Belfry and Bourbon have business to take care of first then we can all have a nice discussion about who and why they will win.

Bingo! Playing for a one half of game means nothing. Kind of like when Boyle County was up on Highlands last year at the half then lose the game by 21 points. Playing them close got the Rebels no where and there were certainly no moral victories

I'm not sure what Bourbon County team you have been watching, but the Colonels are much better this year than last. Their 1st team defense hasn't been scored on all season and they have a lot more offensive weapons this year.

Wrong Montgomery co. Scored 12 on bourbons first team D. And I think they allowed a few more on the season. Not saying that they aren't good but they have been scored on.

I stand corrected. They did have a few points scored on them throughout, but not many.

Update heard snoop Johnson is starting at Qb Friday night!

Have a friend that follows Bourbon that said the same thing.

I think I found my answer. Must be Charles Johnson. Why would he be starting?

But your first team defense hasn't seen a team close to what Belfry's first team offense is...or Masons for that matter

Still doesn't answer my question as to why HE is playing QB. I appreciate a kid's athletic ability, but if Pope is still unavailable, why is the regular backup not playing?

I agree. It is sort of unexpected to say the least.
Cox had did a very good job and by moving Johnson to QB it seems you are taking one of your best athletes off the field. I can understand wanting to get him more touches.. but goodness it's not like Bourbon's offense has been sputtering in the least... just a bit bizarre to make such an elaborate change this late in the season.

I know anything can happen But be real with your self.

Well having seen both play,,,, it is going to be one heck of a game. Both team's have speed. IMO, Boco has a couple players a little faster, but not
enough to make a huge difference. Mason's QB is the most talented QB that I have seen in a while. IMO a D1 prospect. should be getting looks. IMO this
game comes down to coaching, Mason's coaches does an excellent job with
preparation and making on the fly adjustments. Therefore, I'm giving Mason
the edge in this one. Mason 41 Boco 35

Bourbon by 25 rain plays in there favor . Defense will hold mason under 20pts

Mason Co. coaches may have the their team prepared but so does BOCO. To think that BOCO's D is going to give up 41 to Mason is a JOKE IMO and anyone else who knows anything about balll. This game maybe a good game in the 1st Qrt. But #71 the best LB mason has cant do it all!

No surprise here, JW picking ole classless BOCO to go down for the 13th straight week.
:haters:
Not sure why the hoopla about Snoop playing QB. Everyone around here knows this has been the plan since Pope went down. Lull through the schedule and then surprise Mason and hopefully give Belfry something to prepare for. Johnson has a rocket for an arm, and if he did not run a 4.4 and have great hands, probably would have been the starter last season over Pope. Seems to have worked pretty well given the freak out on this board.

Garrard beat themselves in 2 games. The Bourbon, Wayne, and Mason games
Garrard got there butt handed to them and considering that these 3 teams
are in the running to advance to BG.. Garrards young team did well with a
7-5 record.... So, IMO, the only D1 QB that I recognized on the field this
season was the young man from Mason. I will give Trevor Jones at Estill
a thumbs up, but the boy from Mason is a very talented athlete. And, he has
a very good supporting cast around him. IMO, they have what it takes to
pull the upset. Bourbon will have to earn this one,,, it will not be a running
clock walk off.....
