ComeFlyWithMe Wrote:Horribly officiated game. Within the first quarter of the game, 3 Valley starters were on the bench and Kyle Goodson had once again hurt his shoulder. The refs let this get too physical and a fight even almost broke out. Did anyone happen to see the time when the Honaker twin grabbed the ball while Ashley had it and threw Ashley to the ground? These refs did a very poor job, the entire first half was called for Pikeville, it should have been a lot closer of a game then what it was.
Just what did you want them to call?
Illegal use of being to damn strong?

By the way, the referees are assigned. Who really cares about the referees though. Valley came out with a win, and the game really was never close after the 1st quarter. Everyone expects too much out of this team. A ten point win against a pretty good Pikeville team isn't too bad.

I was trying to listen to this game all the way up in Paintsville in a noisy gym. Can anyone tell me which Shelby Valley player got a dunk in the first half?

In the play back last night the announcers talk about that incident and no
foul being called. With 6 sets of eyes somebody should have seen more than
a jump ball

EASports12 Wrote:Pikeville is one big-time basket away from playing valley to the wire. the entire difference in the game was the 16-2 run valley made when pikeville was up 19-18. a bag three or a run out could have ended the run early and kept the game even throughout.
Given the foul trouble (Hatfield, Newsome, and L. Bryant) and the injury to Goodson, Pikeville's opportunity came in the second quarter... Booher was forced to go deeper into his bench than I'm sure he wanted, but Pikeville was unable to take advantage... Actually this was the time that Valley opened the game up and pushed a close game to a double digit lead... I think last night may have been Pikeville's chance to get Valley, but they didn't make it happen.

It was nice too! I clapped and I am a Valley fan!
I like to see the kids do good no matter what school.
Congrats to Adams!

Kyle's shoulder popped back out again last night. He had to go to the ER and have it put back in. It's been a disappointing senior season for Kyle due to all the problems with his shoulder. Hate to see that for him because he plays with such passion. Hope he can get back for postseason play, but if not he has been a pleasure to watch play.

Its a sad thing to hear about Kyle, especially it being his senior year. I hope he can recover soon so he can play during tournament time. It's always nice seing him play!!

6 sets would equal 3 refs... two eyes a ref.
It's not the size of the dog in the fight. It is the size of the fight in the dog.

Once again SV wins. Congrats on the win men. Does anyone know what happened in the parking lot after the game. When the IDIOT in the little red car popped out of the sun roof and threw the bottle at one of the valley fan in the black SUV. Cause you almost got the tar beat out of you by Daniel Gillespie.

There's no place for that here, and I don't expect to see a response in the open forums.

What could have happened in the parking lot doesnt have anything to do with the game or this thread.
