Haywood is a class act and great coach and a post like this wont reflect or take away from what the man has done one bit. Anybody that knows football or has coached would tell you Haywood is one of the best.

I have searched long and hard to find a picture of that person. This is the one I found.:goofy: Like I said earlier, this man is a legend. I believe when Coach Haywood steps down at Belfry, he will be a unanimous selection into the KHSAA Hall of Fame during his first year of being eligible.

yeah i agree Bigblack

I agree this thread should be closed, neither Haywood nor Matney are going anywhere. Why should they? Haywwod ahs built his program and Matney has his best chance ever to build a domination program at JCHS. I know everyone on here is entitled to their own opinions, within the rules, but to start a stupid rumor such as this is totally out of place. I doubt if the Pond Creek Nation would let him leave if he did say he was leaving, lol.

But I do think he would def condier it if it was offered he was raised here and still hs family here. Belfry is a very special place to him. I have talked to him alot and he always speaks highly of Belfry and their program. But your right he has such great oppurtunity there. I hope he wins it all next year and looses one game (against Belfry) andhope Coach Haywood has his best years ahead of him. I have nothing but respect for Haywood he is one of the finest people I have ever met and an even better coach.

Coach Haywood is my idol...and anybody who disagrees with me that he is the classiest coach, not to mention one of the top five coaches EVER in the state of Kentucky...shares the WRONG opinion..Anybody that could even think of posting something this pathetic and ignorant is just that, ignorant and pathetic. I KNOW people in Belfry doesnt share these feelings about Coach Haywood, and should be grateful you have him on your sidelines. Yes he's predictable. But when you have seven semifinal appearances, four championship games, and two championships, WHO THE HELL CARES IF YOUR PREDICTABLE. Turncoat? Did I read that right? Did you call Phillip Haywood a turncoat? What does that make you? If your not backing your coach, or your team, what does that make you? Yes everyone unfortunately has the right to share their opinion, but in this case, your opinion is WRONG.

Oh, he's defintely respeceted, even here at Sheldon Clark.
Have a lot of respect for that man, and the coach we got from Belfry.
We love Hager to death over here.

The mods feel like this thread doesn't require being shut down, and I understand that so lets just let it fade away. Along with the thread starters ignorance and lack of respect.

I really think that the original poster of this thread knows that the subject is obsurd, but he/she wanted to start a thread that would get alot of attention, and that it has.

This is crazy he is a great coach and you should bring in all you can while he is still there and try to keep him as long as possible. You dont get rid of a great coach when he is still winning!!!!!!!
01-10-2007, 07:32 PM
great man
01-10-2007, 07:46 PM
haywood is one of the best coaches in the state of kentucky..i think if belfry did get rid of him, or he resigned, he could get a job coaching football at any high school in the state of kentucky..im going to even say that he could coach at a 2a college if he wanted..any man with 2 state championships in 2 years under his belt is not a person that i would want to get rid of. So all in all i guess im saying if its not broken, dont fix it.
