Why? When you take in controversial "transfers", you assume the risk. Much ado about nothing. Just part of the rivalry. Big win for Fairview-Cabell.

Beechwood is still the class of the region. They have three losses but look at their schedule.

Sounds like turnovers cost my Rams. Not shocked however. Raceland had the tougher schedule, yet that does not mean their schedule was hard. Outside of Ashland, Raceland's was a cake walk as well. The level of play in the area is down down down!! As for the class aspect, I think both schools are lame for what they say and do. Ram teams never talked trash like these last two Ram teams have. Easy way to shut up Fairview is to beat them. IMO they can talk all they want till we do. It's a sad day in Raceland today. Hopefully next game "playoff" Rams won't talk trash either and we can settle it on the field like the real RAM WAY! In the end good game to both schools.

I have no dog in the Fairview/Raceland rivalry. I just meant if there were signs targeting the race of players it was bad... again I did not see this and just simply was stating I hope it wasn't true. It's one thing to call them Fairview/Huntington High, I get that and there is nothing truly bad about that one.

I can't way for round 2. Could this be a Rocky/Clubber Lang reversal of fortune or will it be just more pain for the Rams.
#36
Man I hope there weren't any racial overtones. Thus rivalry is becoming one where everyone in the area picks a side. No reason to ruin something so fun with such bigotry and stupidity

Raceland and Fairview sounded like a really good game this year. Aren't you fans so glad you got another visit from the Williamsburg student section on here to serve you. He has served alot of teams this year, most of which his little team can't back. Feel free to let him know just how appreciated he is. Believe me, I'm going to continue to do so.

The final score is indicative of what happens when you play "not to lose" rather than to win. Yet again, play calling, and missed opportunities issued Raceland it's second self inflicted loss of the season. Hats off the the Fairview kids and coaching staff for sticking with the game plan. On this night, Fairview was actually only a td better than Raceland offensively. I was impressed with their big play capability, but thats really all they are on offense. Which the Rams were just the opposite. Sustained multiple drives, but much like the ashland game, had little big chunk yardage plays and came up short a few times in the redzone. As far as being opportunistic, that is why Fairview won this game.

Don't lower your standards by engaging in a winless argument with Truth. He knows it all. He is truly the Wizard of Oz

Rams didn't play their best football last night. You can't beat good teams when you turn the ball over. Both teams played very hard and competed for 48 minutes. I think a healthy Daylin Beach makes a big difference in the second half but no excuses on my end, Fairview played better football last night. Not saying they are the better team but they played better last night. We will see who improves the most over the next 5 weeks. November 16 is when it really counts.

What does FTW mean?
F T W..........For The Win ! (Sign in front of school was easy to read) It also said Go Rams Beat Eagles

Can the back and fourth crap discontinue? I think a few posters on here could have taken a lesson from the TEAMS last night and speak with some dignity and respect. All of this ftw and bitw talk has gotten way out of hand. For those complaining about what FTW stands for, I refer you to the nearly 20 "ruck faceland" tshirts i saw last night. Let the KIDS be KIDS and may we all on here behave like adults. Its this kind of unhealthy back and fourth banter that starts fights amongst students and players. It was a hard fought ball game from both squads. A healthy Daylin Beach, changes the game. We will see an even bigger dog fight in a couple of weeks. May both teams stay healthy for the remainder and may one of them FINALLY bring a state championship back to our district

So you think those signs were ok??? That say a lot about your character.

Congrats to Fairview. I thought this would be a closer game.

I just read that Fairview is adding Hazard, PCC, Lawrence County and Bellvue to their schedule for next year. That's a good bump in competition, earns my respect.

If that is the case, they have mine as well. As I mentioned before, I think Raceland needs to add a Northern KY team and a mountain Team to their schedule. I'd love to see the LCA game come back, then see us play a Hazard, Somerset, Danville, something along those lines. Beefing up the schedules will only make these two teams better.

The Raceland schedule I mentioned, also includes the Ashland and Ironton games as well.

I was really pulling for Raceland in this one. It sickens me everytime West Virginia A&M gets a win. Something needs to be done to crack down on the junk that's going on at westwood. The KHSAA is a complete joke!
