IMO if the Rams can hold on to the ball. They will win this one by about 20+
But in big games they have coughed it up six times each. (Ashland and Fairview)
Both were very physical!! Can we match Pikevilles physical play? I believe we can!

Realisticly, the RAMS should win by at least three touchdowns. Pikeville has won five straight, but it has been against weak competition, and their losses have been blowouts, including the early season loss to Raceland.

Beach and Litteral both rushed for over 150 yards and had Beach scored 4 tds while Litteral had 2. Has Pikevilles defense improved that much? I saw they gave up 24 pts to Paintsville whose offense couldnt manage a positive play until the end of the 3rd quarter against Racelands JV

Failed to mention those were the numbers they put up in the last meeting between the two. Look for Raceland to have another big game. Closer than last time, but still a solid victory.

I would like to see Beach have a big game, the kid has the ability to take it for six every time he touches the ball.

I just want to say how much I have enjoyed this "new" rivalry. In this day and time when ugly behavior between two schools' fan bases seems to be the norm, this rivalry has been a pleasant surprise. Two strong football programs with great traditions going at it on the field, but both sides showing great respect for each other. That's how it should be. I know some Raceland fans came and sat with Pikeville fans in the Regional Finals at Fairview last year and, if Raceland should be the ones to move on this year, please know you have the support of the Pikeville crowd, as well. Hope you guys have safe travels on U.S. 23 Friday!

A ton of respect for both programs. Should be a closer game this time due to the face Pikeville was without a couple of key contributors the first matchup, but in saying that I still think the Rams get the W. The Panthers are still a little too "green" yet to make a deep run into the playoffs. Teams better get their shots in on the Panthers now though because they are gonna be a tough out in the years to come. Good luck to both and heres to hoping for both teams to come out injury free. Thoughts and prayers still extended to Racelands QB from this Pike Countian.

Adam has grown leaps and bounds since last year. The team really rallied around him last year. The week after the Pikeville game, against greenup, Adam through for 200 yds and 2 tds and the defense did the rest. Holding Greenup to a total -2 yds rushing and a total of 63 yards on the game and scored 3 tds and special teams produced one as well. Small schools are like a family, thats what i love about 1a football. Adam has had a pretty good junior campaign and i know his dad would be proud.

Raceland win big

Raceland is just too athletic.... Rams by 21

Raceland needs to put it away early or the Panthers will keep hope and will fight to the end... Pikeville will always play to the end so i guess i mean they will play much harder and determined if its a close game. Pikeville played very competitvely against a solid Sheldon Clark team so they are capable of playing and winning this game if they dont turn the ball over and make mistakes and miss tackles..

This could be a very good game. By the results of this year alone, you would say Raceland. But, and that is a big but, Do you all remember what an under rated Pikeville team did last year with Hazard. I think as I am thinking right at this moment I would have to say Pikeville in a close one.

Raceland by a bunch.

yea it was a 8 point hazard lead with 7 mins to go and pikeville threw 2 straight pics and couldn recover. mysonis55 was saying that pikeville doesnt mind bein underdog they dont even care theyll prepare and hopefully execute better this time round.

Have seen him play a couple of times this year and last year . He has improved in some areas , I thought he was a better qb rolling out than staying in the pocket like he has the games I seen this year. I still dont think he can win you the big game (Fairview) or who ever it is,now he will get the wins against the teams that he is suppose to beat dont get me wrong. Just not convenience he is able to take the next step. I would like to see the young man step up and prove me wrong.

Pikeville gave Hazard all they wanted last yr.,and more than what they expected, imo. Coach Mac and staff came in to town with a good game plan, but those two straight pics wre big time. As Mastadon said, just couldn't recover after that. Hope for better execution in this game and going forward.

I think his biggest downfall is that he tries to hard at times to be that type of quarter back. His arm isnt as strong at times because if he throws from the pocket he has trouble seeing over the line. Many times he is leaving his feet when he throws the ball. He is a very smart kid. He has two great qb coaches in Scott Grizzle and Tyler Boyles. Ive spoken with Scott some through the year and that seems to be their main focus is getting him into a game manager type situation instead of him having to be the hero. There is more than enough tallent on this Raceland team to keep the pressure off of him. If they do, then you will see less turnovers in the redzone and more tds. Thus, the Rams would have one both games they have lost.

I still feel like the RAMS are at least three touchdowns better if they play like they're capable of playing and don't turn the ball over.

Rams roll......

Anybody know if there will be radio coverage available online for this one?
11-09-2012, 12:20 AM
Wlgcradio.com will cover both the raceland and fairview games. Coverage starts at 7 go to the site and click on which game u want to listen to. Fairview generally runs on a delay after the russell game on the actual 105.7 handle, but they may take te live game and the rams be on the delayed broadcast. Hope this helps. The internet coverage can be cumbersome at times, but if your connection is strong it is clearer than the radio.
