Dunbar @ McCreary Central
#31
I have a friend who coached at Dunbar with Rains. He said the roster this year is at the level of a good JV squad for 6a. He didn't give me reasons why. I know part of it is the qb they lost to Douglass.

The QB came from Henry Clay, I don't think many filtered over from Dunbar. The nice Dunbar RB from two years ago went to Douglass, but he transferred to Henry Clay last year and sat out.

The coaches and players are leaving Dunbar because they want to coach/play for a team that has a head coach that will win games.

Well, well a good 6A JV Squad will beat the bottom half of 3A Varsity Teams most of the time. Should make a good game. Go Raiders TongueirateShoTongueirateSho

What is the seating situation at your stadium?

It does not look very big according to Google Maps.

It's not the biggest seating wise most people Stand around the track but the bleachers are pretty small on the away side.

Will Dunbar need much seating in MC? If the Raiders win this game Dunbar will not be allowed back in Lexington. We are really talking about MC beating PLD?
What world are we in?:please::please:

There could be a nice-sized crowd considering that this is a Saturday night game.

Here is a link to a better view of McCreary Central's football field:

Kentucky travels to South Carolina and Clemson travels to Louisville on Saturday night so there might not be many fans at the game. However, I may be wrong.

McCreary will have a nice crowd. It's a full day of Football. Little League has 2 games, Elem. Schools have 2 games, Middle School has a game and then MC Vs. PLD, Good Day of Football. Go Raiders and yes you can beat Dunbar. Don't listen to the critics.

From the picture, it appears that the press box is on the side of the field with the fewer bleachers.

In other words, is the pressbox on the visitor's side of the field?

Yes ... it's a lot better than the little shack we had in like 2010 back. I think they put it on that side because of the sun it'll be right in your eyes on the home side.

Lexington schools don't even travel well to their own home games.

I will most likely go to this game since it's on Saturday. Home side faces the sun, but I'm guessing a 7:30 start means it won't be above the tree line for long, right?
#51
I will be there.

You would be correct. PLD is no Clinton Co. thats for sure but then again Im not sure Trinity would want to play Clinton Co right now. McCreary might have a shot in this one.
#53
Long ride from Whitley City to Lexington. If Dunbar loses this one they need to look at their long term goals.

The future "everything" of Dunbar's football program needs to reflect upon its direction regardless of the outcome of tonight's game.

I can't believe that two teams with a combined record of 1-5 are getting this much attention. I know very little about either of them, but I just can't see a 1-2 3A team competing with a 6A team, regardless of their record.

I'm going to go with Dunbar 42, McCreary 14.

I'm also going to go with Fly By Night escaping reality with a playlist of Rush's rock ballads, if Dunbar pulls this one out.

I can't believe so many people think MC is going to win this game.

TongueirateSho Dunbar lucky they didn't schedule a beat down from Clinton County.
#59
Congratulations McCreary, I will eat some crow this morning.
#60
I predicted Dunbar winning 21-20.

Just off by a 2-point conversion and the wrong winner.
