Bowl game, I would assume they don't have much of a say who they play in it.

I go with BC

I would not say that Boyle had a sub-par performance against Rockastle? It is still early in the season and we really do not know much about Rockastle. This game IMO does not help either team. Pikeville is on the way to good things but this match up is simply one sided.

That said, Boyle County approaches every game like it's the state final. Couple that with the fact that it has been a rough week for Boyle at practice (due to a sub par performance against Rockcastle) and there will be a very focused bunch of Rebels on the field this week in Pikeville. Good luck to both, but GO REBELS!
I know and understand completely what youre saying. Without that mentality Boyle County wouldnt be....well...Boyle County. I just hope our boys take what they can from this game and get better from it.

Who has been in charge of scheduling at Pikeville over the last 3/4 years? I understand you don't want to ( please note the following statement is not intended to offend anyone) play rebuilding teams like Jenkins, Jackson, ect. but why schedule large 4a/5a powerhouses every year in non-district games. I would much rather play top tier 1A, 2A schools and still be well prepared for the district schedule and not be so beat up. I respect Pikeville's program but do they realize that it would take a team with the talent of 1986-89 to even have a chance of winning this game? Of course, with that being said I am sure they are, as usual, the heavy favorites to win the district again. Unless of course you take a poll in Floyd County around the Wayland area.

I agree 100%. This is what Ive said all along. Its just counter productive to play schools this big. If Jackson and Copely wouldve stayed here I have no doubt that Pikeville wouldve went to Heinz Field and lined up against the Steelers at some point LOL! Id be willing to bet that in the future Coach Howard will not schedule anyone above 3a for our non district schedule except the PCB in which he has no control over.

I'd like to see Pikeville pull the up-set off but it's not gonna happen Boyle by 17

Excellent post..getting beat by 50 points isnt going to do anything for your confidence, nor is it going to make you tougher for district play. Lets face it, Pikevilles second team would win this district. So to me, there is no point to playing teams like Boyle County..
